Disappointing experience with MOULD
Less then 24 hrs before checkin, the agent (Hometime/Campfire Hospitality) sent a message to say "there was some water damage to the floorboards during a recent guest stay".We thought maybe it was just a dishwasher leak etc, and we couldn't find anywhere else at such short notice, so we decided to go. What the agent neglected to mention, was that the water damage is a result of an ongoing leak in the ceiling above. The ceiling has MOULD!!! If the agent had told us this, we would have cancelled immediately. Unfortunately, even without the mould, this property is not ideal. It can sleep 8, but it can't accommodate 8. There is no large entertainment space. Upstairs is small, with only 2 x 2 seater sofas. As a family of 5, we had to sit on dining chairs or filthy chairs from the deck to watch a movie together. We have stayed in multiple properties on Hindmarsh Island, over the past 15 years, and never had a problem before. On 13/1/25 the agent messaged "To acknowledge the inconvenience caused, we’d like to offer a partial refund." It is now 25/1/25, and despite multiple messages, the agent has NOT issued a partial refund.
