Fourth generation farm since 1943 featuring the pre-1875 house including a gas fireplace, wifi, Roku, and jacuzzi tub. Free range chickens on farm provide complimentary fresh eggs! Chester the orange mackerel tabby lives outdoors but would love to be in indoor cat. Conveniently located in northwest Holmes County and 10 minutes from Shreve and only 20 from Wooster, Millersburg or Loudonville. Enjoy a relaxing day in the country or local attractions just minutes away including Sunny Slope Winery, Hershberger's Bakery, Harvey's Market (April through October), Maw Maw Diner, Brown's Lake Bog, Shepard's Market, and Holmes Pottery.. Country quiet at its best!
This is a true country property perched on the top of a hill where you can see for miles. The house is large and comfy and an easy drive to all of the local attractions. This is a great location to just sit and enjoy the quiet and find your peace. We will be back!!

Country Farm House Experience
If you are looking for a country farm life experience, look no further. This is a quaint country house in the heart of Amish country side. Full amenities, including a working farm with fresh eggs. The house is full of antique pieces of furniture. However, it is lacking in the family community space. Living room furniture is sparce for a family of five to enjoy.

We both grew up on a farm so we loved being able to walk out through the fields, watch the sun rise while sitting on the porch with a cup of tea, and seeing the beautiful autumn panoramic view!

Amish Weekend
We spent four days at the farmhouse. It was a wonderful time. Close to every place. Be sure to have breakfast at Maw Maw's Dinner. and do the Sunday Brunch at Pine Tree Barn. Harveys Market is a huge fruit stand. You can even go after they are closed. Just drop your check or cash in the box for what you buy. The farmhouse is very secluded. Never heard any sounds of other people. A couple of mornings the fog set in and the picture postcard was fantastic. The cows enthusiastically welcomed us home at the end of every day!

Amazing views, cozy house, escape the Hussle and bussle.
This was the perfect stay for getting out of the normal rush and speed of everyday life. Quiet, peaceful and just overall relaxing. Everything was perfect on the stay.

We loved the house and esp. the rooster. The last night there was issues with the hot water tank. (no hot water). It was because the basement was filled with several inches of water. There is a drainage problem, it is plugged up. We turned the gas off to the water tank to be safe, other than that we had a good time. Thanks!

If you like to be in the country where it's peaceful and quiet no neighbors. This is a place for you how's very clean close close to town owners of property. Very nice people even let you go. On the farm if you would like would recommend we'll be back again

So quiet
We wanted a place near enough to Mohican State park, but far enough from the tourist area. This farmhouse was perfect. While it was just the two of us, it would have easily been a great place for family. Lots of choices for food if you dont mind a 30 minute drive. (The spots we went were worth the drive). Really liked the jetted bathtub, too.

Super spacious in a tranquil setting
My husband and I loved the peaceful view from the hilltop. We thoroughly relaxed in the large jacuzzi tub in the spacious upstairs bathroom, and dried off with big fluffy towels. We enjoyed the beautiful roll of the land and the solitude as we looked across the acres from hill to hill and enjoyed a gorgeous sunset. This quaint farm house has tons of space to host a family or small group. The kitchen is spacious, but only has a small table and chairs. The large concrete area for parking was perfect for preventing tracking in mud. Our host, Barbara, was the best! Great communication and very friendly. She made sure the fireplace was lit before we arrived and provided fresh eggs from her farm. I do hope we get another chance to stay again. Thanks so much, Barb!

A wonderful stay in the country
My wife and I enjoyed two nights at this wonderful, warm farmhouse. It was remarkably quiet, save for the cows nearby who occasionally greeted us with a "moo!" The house is close enough to a few towns that we could reach them easily enough, but not so close that we were disturbed by traffic. Barb is a wonderful host, who was very kind and happy to answer any questions we had when we called her. All in all, a great place to stay for a weekend!

Peace and quiet at it’s best
Our total experience was very good. The location of the property was fantastic, as was our ability to relax and enjoy the beautiful views. The only issue we had was the cleanliness of the property. The refrigerator was not clean, there was a bucket and an old dirty rag in the laundry/bathroom. The upstairs bathroom had a huge stain in the vinyl with an attempt to cover it up with throw rugs. Towels and sheets in the closets were not neat and organized which gave an impression of uncleanliness. The shower door was dirty and the glass was not clean . The property was great overall, it just gave a vibe of uncleanliness because of the attention to detail and the things I have mentioned above. The biggest turn off was that the water had a great amount of sediment in it and the color was actually brown. You could see the sediment in the tub after the water is drained out Have a grown-up in the country, my wife and I were both familiar with well water, but the sediment and color of the water again gave the vibe than cleanliness. Please understand that our stay was great, we enjoyed the beautiful view, the Rollinghills, the rural feel of the property, and the old farmhouse. We have mentioned the things above not to complain and not to say that it ruined our stay there, but for the opportunity for you to correct a few minor details to give the next guests an absolutely perfect stay. Thank you for the opportunity and for your hospitality.
