We adhere to strict cleaning and disinfecting requirements in accordance with CDC guidelines. All towels and sheets are 100% cotton and washed in hot water with bleach and dried on high heat... Very clean and very comfortable. Self check-in is super easy.

Each of our three suites can enjoy their large private outdoor patio facing the beautiful backyard and located less than one block from a general convenience store which stocks numerous amenities, snacks and convenience items.

The Sunrise Cottage Suite offers two generous bed rooms with comfortable hand made queen-size pine beds, large closets, plus a comfortable pull-out sofa in the living room.

Literally perfect, can’t wait to come back
This was a last minute booking as we had to come up a few nights earlier than planned to meet up with friends. We wish we had stayed here the whole time. The host had thought of everything in terms of a stocked kitchen, labels / clear instructions, many towels, etc. LOVED it.

Spacious rental
This rental was a pleasant surprise. Much larger than the pictures portrayed. The rental was extremely clean and looks recently remodeled (professionally). For our family it was close to several golf courses, wineries, and downtown. Nothing was further than 15 minutes from this location. We are considering another trip back for a golf weekend and would stay here again.

The perfect getaway!
This was our first time in the area but it definitely won't be the last. We spent four nights with four people (2 couples) and the VRBO was perfect for our needs. Check-in was a breeze, the property was well maintained and CLEAN (that is a BIG deal for me) and it was minutes away from all of the action. We used the fire pit on night two and that was lovely. The sky painted us the prettiest picture at sunset. We are already talking about our next trip and the possibility of bringing more friends and renting more of the cottages!

Second time to Sunrise Cottage, great place!
This was our second time to sunrise cottage. We stayed in two different units and both were extremely clean, 5 stars clean! Location was perfect, we really enjoy the stroll to town and the firepit out back. John was great to work with. We will definitely stay there again.

Lovely Cottage in a Great Location
Our family really enjoyed our visit to Saugatuck, due in a large part to our stay at the Sunrise Cottage. The cottage was exceptionally clean, well laid out, and equipped with everything we needed for our short stay. Would definitely book again.

The Best Place in Saugatuck!
This is our third year coming to Saugatuck and staying at John's cottages. As usual it did not disappoint. It is super clean and well appointed. The cottage is close to everything you will want to visit in Saugatuck. We had the best time and we cannot wait to come back next summer. Thank you.

We really enjoyed our time in Saugatuck and our stay at this cute cabin that had everything we needed. The games were a lot of fun. Location was within walking distance to downtown. Very clean property. The manager was very easy to contact and very responsive. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

Lovely cottage
We had 2 adults and 3 kids (ages 16, 13, and 11) who stayed at the cottage and it was comfortably accommodated our needs. I cooked most of our meals and had what I needed in the kitchen. My girls played ping pong in the basement and we all played Scrabble when we weren't at the beach or blueberry picking. John was easy to get ahold of and very helpful. The place was very clean! We'd definitely stay there again!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. Everything is clean and well kept. The rooms are spacious and games entertained the teens. Within walking distance to Dollar General, mini golf, and dune rides. Beautiful fire pit in the backyard good for s'mores. Within close driving distance from downtown Saugatuck and Oval Beach. Owner is fantastic to communicate with. Would definitely stay here again!

Great Property close to everything
We loved our stay at the cottages. It was clean and had anything we might need for our stay. The owners were great and started the fire pit for all the guests several nights. We were close to everything, either walking or a quick drive! Highly recommend!

I can’t say enough about these cottages! You can really tell the owners put a lot of thought into the design and items stocked in the cottage. They are also incredibly clean and well decorated. We recently stayed in the Sunrise Cottage with our 3 year old son and had a great time! The property is easily the cleanest rental unit we’ve stayed in and was perfect for a relaxing family trip, with comfortable beds and plenty of games to play/things to do. The location is also perfect. We made multiple trips to the general store and gas station across the street so it was great having those there for last minute items. It’s a quick drive downtown, but with parking down there being a bit of a nightmare, we’ll definitely take advantage of the bike rental shop across the road from the cottage next time. It’s obvious the owner takes great care of the property and we can’t wait to return!

Charming and clean in a fabulous location!
Sunrise Cottage was a lovely place to stay in fabulous Saugatuck. Check-in was easy, and we found the cottage clean and nicely decorated. The location was excellent, and the price was right. I can't ask for anything more! I'd definitely stay here again.

I want to live here!
This is a plesant cottage grouping with the host living on premises and keeping the landscaping looking very nice. We missed the peak of the tulips, which is why we chose this area to begin with. It was my wifes birthday and she has never seen the beauty of Holands tulips. Early warm and then a storm left everything pretty much destroyed......BUT......we did visit Windmill Island and ordered some tulips for us to enjoy at home......i am digressing......the property, cottage and surrounding area will draw us back again. Even though we spent most of our time in the cottage just hanging out, the relaxing atmosphere was what we needed.

Fantastic
First, i wound like to say im very picky when it comes to staying anywhere. We have a larger family and a hotelscare dirty and too small. This cottage was fantastic!!!! Very clean. My youngest turned 1year on or stay and I didn't have any issues letting him on ther floor. I will point out i did need to get a baby gate for basement stairs. Would definitely recommend to anyone. Dune ride was minutes away whole family enjoyed. Didn't need to contact anyone on our trip. Everything was straight forward and easy to use. Would rent again!

This place was just what I needed for my family! I loved the bright welcoming feeling from the moment I first walked in. The extra space in the basement with games was awesome. There are very clean Weber grills to use in a beautifully landscaped backyard with a fire pit. They have thought of everything, and it is the cleanest rental I’ve stayed in! We were also pleased that there were stores across the street, one of which is a great coffee shop.
