Come Relax in the Country

Just a short drive from Charleston or Columbia is a relaxing little cottage just waiting for you. Looking for a mini vacation but don’t want to drive for hours? Get out of the traffic of I-95 and enjoy the slow pace as well, or if you are coming in for a family reunion, wedding or any other reason, we’ve got just what you need. Our Little Red Cottage has two bedrooms, one bath and is fully stocked with all your needs. Plush bedding, full size kitchen and lots of little extras to make you want to stay even longer. Watch the deer cross the horse pasture daily from the kitchen window or sit on the front porch with your morning coffee and enjoy it all. The front yard is fully fenced and the cottage is pet friendly, so you are welcome to bring your fur babies with you. It's a great place for the dogs to stretch their legs and play safely while traveling. We have over 180 acres of planted pines and trails, so just let us know if you want to get out and walk the trails (weather permitting). Book your stay soon!

Cozy
We stay at a lot of rentals for vacations and this was definitely top 3. It’s beautifully decorated, cozy, clean, and had everything our family needed for our stay. We felt safe and welcome and it’s a huge bonus that we got to bring our dog too!

Perfect cottage to rest on a road trip
It’s located right off 95, beats the hell out of any hotel I’ve ever stayed, perfect for traveling with a pet and the owners are so nice and accommodating! Can’t wait to go back on our next road trip! Very scenic area!

We weren't able to make it to the property.
My wife and I planned to stay here on our move from Florida to Virginia. Unfortunately, we got too late a start and couldnt safely make it to the property. We communicated with the host who was sympathetic. We will try to visit again in the future when we make the drive.

Perfect spot for layover when traveling I95
Easy to access from I95. Country setting with horses nearby. Fenced front yard for dogs to run and play freely. Nicely furnished and well equipped cottage.

Adorable Quaint Home
Every thing was lovely! I only gave 4 stars for cleanliness because it looked like both of the beddings had been washed with a dog or cat blanket or something. It was little black coarse hairs all over sheets and pillow cases. We could tell they were clean but got washed with something with hair in it. It was quite a bit or I wouldn’t even mention it. Other than that it was wonderful and we would stay again!

Such a pleasure to stay on the farm in a clean, well stocked, and comfortable cottage. It had everything we could ever need, including fresh cut flowers and the horses in the back field! Kay checked in with us to make sure we were settled in. The attention to detail in the cottage was exceptional! Many sweet and thoughtful touches.

Cozy country cottage
This little cottage is cozy and comfortable. The property is beautiful and the hosts are amazing. This was our third stay and definitely won't be our last! We are so thankful to have found a place to stay with our very anxious little dog. No more driving straight through to Florida!!

Great stay in a quiet place
What a lovely little cottage! It's quaint and a little rustic on the outside & fully and tastefully updated on the inside. It was a great place to relax after a full day of driving. It was a few miles from the intersection of I-95 and I-26, but easy to find. There's a terrific porch for hanging out on, and Kay is very thoughtful about any pups you might bring along--there's a large fenced yard around the cottage, water and food bowls on the porch, and inside the house, some balls for playing and a clean dog bed. We picked up food on the way to the cottage and had food in our cooler for the morning before we headed out on the road again. I would definitely stay again and would recommend that others stay as well.

Nice home in the country
This was the perfect location for my husband and I as we were visiting a friend in Columbia but wanted to be close to the beach as well. This was a great half-way point. We were impressed by the cleanliness of the home. The one bed is memory foam and very comfortable. House stayed nice and cool during 4th of July week when it was 95+ degrees the whole week. Owner was very tentative. We would like to return!

Quintessential Farm Cottage with White Picket Fence
Beautifully furnished, super clean, very relaxing cottage. Located just outside the cute town of Holly Hill, only about 9 miles off of I95. The town has a few restaurants, 2 grocery stores and a Hardees. My bichonpoo loved the dog bed, food/ water bowls and fenced-in yard. I highly recommend this cottage and wish I was staying more than 1 night as I drive back to Virginia. Highly recommend staying here.

Beautiful tiny home
Beautiful home! My boyfriend, our dog and I are traveling to Florida. This was a perfect place considering how dog friendly it was with a fenced in yard, a dog bed and bowls! Our fur baby had a blast! It's right on the property with horses that come right up to you which was magical! The place was even cuter then the pictures! Extremely clean with fresh cut flowers. Great private location and good security. We felt very safe. You can tell they pay attention to every detail they put into this place! Highly recommend and would stay again!

Hidden Gem
The property was a surprise gem. It was super clean and comfortable. The owners amazed us with all of the little special touches that many vacation rentals don’t do. From the snacks, waters, seasonings, coffee options, and even mini makeup wipes it was amazing. We also had options of games and if you bring your pets they will feel loved too with the water/food bowls and dog bed. It was a very peaceful property and you get the added bonus of watching the owners horses graze in the property behind. Would definitely recommend this property.

While this location isn’t for everyone, I was so happy with it! We stayed here for a bee keeping class in Holly Hill. Property owner was so nice, the home was very clean, and we were able to bring our 2 dogs! The fenced in front yard was my favorite! I was also really happy with how well stocked it was- tin foil, good pots/pans, comfortable bed, waters & drinks, fans in every room, plenty of dishes, and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. I also felt safe here. Perfect little getaway in the country!

A Charming Delight
My husband and I stayed at the cottage with our dog while on a trip to Florida. After a grueling day of driving, it was such a pleasure to arrive at this quaint farm cottage. It was immaculate, very well appointed with comfortable bedding, ceiling fans, lush fluffy towels and so much more. The yard was fenced in so our little dog could stretch his legs after a long drive. The fact that the cottage was on a farm with horses just added to the experience of pastoral charm. We will definitely stay here again when traveling I-95 through Soith Carolina. Thank you. Couldn't be more perfect!
My wife and I were traveling with our two dogs on a drive from PA to FL. We were looking for a place to stay over around the halfway point for the trip down and back. To say we loved everything about this place would be an understatement. The town is perfect, the home is perfect and the owner was absolutely wonderful! It normally takes our dogs a few days to settle into places when we travel. It seemed like it only took minutes here. They loved playing in the fenced in yard and immediately acted like the dog bed in the house was their own. The cottage has everything you'll need. The open layout was a great use of space and the furnishings in every room are well appointed. The front porch was a great place to relax and listed to nothing, as the whole property is quiet and peaceful. The coffee pods were great for the morning drive. We saw plenty of deer and loved seeing the horses outside. Kay was an outstanding host with great communication. We only wished we had more time to stay. We won't be looking any where else when we make the drive again. Kay, thank you for everything! Hope to see you again soon.
