Willow Pond Resort 18 Bedroom - Family Friendly, Reunions.

This charming property with a main house plus individual attached units & suites, is close to Historic downtown Honesdale with farmers markets, cafes, shoppes, scenic train rides, and a quaint central park. Our historic farm house is nestled on a beautifully landscaped 5.5 acres.

The Property
The 5.5 acre property has enough space for the family, and a great space for kids. A stocked pond for fishing, as well as peddle boats and life vests are available for use. A trampoline, playground and a gazebo with a grill, are all available amenities for your family to enjoy!

The Indoors
Our full property rental includes the main house which has 5 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a huge eat in kitchen, dining room, living room (stocked with games for the family), sunroom and toy room. Included in the rental are three additional one bedroom units (with a bathroom in each room), and 1 two bedroom suite structurally attached to the main house, and 2 two bedroom suites & a 4 bedroom cottage across with a pool table (across the yard). In total, this rental has 18 bedrooms, 12.5 bathrooms.

Family reunion
The set up worked well for our family group. Everyone had their own sleeping spaces, but we made a lot of use of the large dining/common area, the outdoor pavilion and the spacious kitchen. Plenty of space for the kids to play outdoors and indoors. There were some minor issues (a toilet that ran continuously) but we were in close contact with the owners/staff if necessary and felt very well taken care of. Our group ranged from 2-86, and there was something for everyone.

1st Family Reunion was a hit!
This was the first time we ever booked a property this large. It was also our first attempt at a family reunion. Fortunately everything went really well! The property was perfect for everyone. The kids all played in the center of the property, always in view from the surrounding living spaces. We had plenty of gathering spaces for our activities, outside and inside.

Perfect for our family reunion
We had 3 generations and 30+ people there for a week. It had everything we needed. Kids had plenty of space to play outside. There was enough folding tables and chairs for meal times. Kitchen was well equipped. The main house is older, but we’ll kept and comfortable. Owner was very responsive and helpful with any of our needs. Thanks for letting us stay!

Great place for large groups
We absolutely loved our stay here. Tons of beds for everyone and lots of space. The biggest plus was the industrial kitchen appliances so it was easy to cook huge meals for 40 people. Clean property lots of nice amenities. Overall would highly recommend and would stay again!

Awesome property for our large family
We had our family of 25 stay for a long weekend and we could not have found a better property. I asked for an early check in and Chanie graciously said yes. We arrived to find the house stocked with toiletries in every bathroom. Toys inside and out for the kids. The paddle boats kept the kids entertained for hours. The guys loved fishing, caught a few fish too!! The property is huge and we explored every inch of it. We had so much fun playing kick ball and every other yard game you can imagine. The main house had a huge room to set up tables for game night. The fire pit was an awesome place for us all to gather at night. The set up of the house is perfect for multi family use. There were no tenants on the property as some people had mentioned in their reviews. We have no complaints about this property or the hosts. Chanie was responsive and polite with any questions we had. We don’t think the description of this property does it justice. We are hoping to be able to return!

Very Fun For all Ages
The set up of willow pond was fantastic for large groups and all ages (we had 5 months to 65). People could be spread out or close together. There were toys and activities for all ages outdoors (it would have been more challenging if stuck inside). The playground, trampoline and paddle boats were highlights for my family. We appreciated lifevests being provided and even some other outdoor and indoor toys for the little kids. One of the best parts of this property is the fact that you can sit outside and see kids from the trampoline to the pond and everything in between! Total supervision is permitted. Be prepared for a glamping experience. There are some bugs, cobwebs and the water pressure reminded us of cabin stays. But overall the large kitchen, ample seating, and plethora of outdoor activity made our stay memorable and fun for all! Chanie was very responsive and always available to talk to. She even provided supplies that hadn’t been needed before us so we could maximize our experience! The only concern we ran into was the one on site tenant. We were not told about her explosive vulgar interactions with guests, until the day we arrived. They were explosive and vulgar. We did need to enlist the help of local authorities at one point. If you are going to have small children who are going to play on the playground I would encourage you to find out if the tenant by the name of Tina has fully been evicted. If not it is highly advisable that the kids are not allowed to play without a strong adult presence. Or that you wait to stay here until she is gone. We understand that some things happen beyond a landlords control such as the length of time of an eviction, however our children did run inside scared and our adults did have a couple very unpleasant interactions during our stay. Regardless, if Tina is gone, we would absolutely go again!!

Willow Pond was well appointed for our large family group. Plenty of tables & chairs & room to set up 6 tables in the dining room. Sunroom and kitchen nook provided room for quiet time with a nice view of the pond & property. Grounds were well appointed for all ages. Host, Hostess & Caretaker were very responsive to our requests. Unfortunately, there was an unruly long term tenant on the property that caused some issues. The Host, Hostess and Caretaker did respond promptly to our concerns. Our understanding is that the tenant was asked to vacate the premises. Overall, we had a lovely week & thoroughly enjoyed the property. The gazebo was immensely popular with all four generations of ou family.

Amazing experience
Because of the pandemic we were in need of a much awaited gathering and this property was ideal for our family. With several separate suites, the younger grands & parents could enjoy undisturbed naps and the teens could be together and play games including pool. All while the elders enjoyed the other amenities. Also pond was clean with fresh water plenty of fish and boating. 3 paddle boats were in good shape and a 4th needing some repair. First class commercial kitchen plenty of utensils dishes and pots pans. A/C units getting old but all worked fine. Supplies of towels, soaps and TP were plentiful. Can’t say enough good about this place and the staff/owners. Fantastic time. We will def come back. Thanks so much !

Our entire family gathered for Mom's 80th. Including 12 great grandchildren. This was just the right place. The children loved fishing in the pond. We enjoyed fireworks over the pond in the evening. Had a campfire, enjoyed dinner in the gazebo. It is a nice place with only a few areas that need a little TLC, but you can tell the owners care enough to keep it up. Great place for children and adults.

Great Memorial Day Getaway
A beautiful two-building property with a lovely pond (with paddleboats and a cute island) near a small vacation town. The rooms had enough space and plenty of bathrooms, and the AC held up all weekend. Would definitely go here again.

1. As listed on Vrbo, there were 5 bedrooms upstairs in the main house, only to find 1 out of order. Which the host claimed to have noted in an email, but was no where to be found. That hindered our ability to host our guests properly 2. The cleanliness of the rooms were not up to expectations. Ex. Lady bugs and Dust 3 The Land owner kept calling us saying she saw us on the cameras doing things. We feel that this is an extreme breach of privacy. 4 The home owner called us multiple times, with un needed requests. ... IE we should call her before we leave... and that we need to take out the trash upon our exit. That's what we paid cleaning fee for... We came for a vacation, though we feel as that we were baby sat and spied on. What was the rental fee for, if we had to give up on living space and being her cleaning service??

The space was even better than expected! There was plenty of space to roam around and play, for both adults and grown ups. The outdoor area provided a lot of fun play and exploration. Wonderful experience!
The house was very comfortable, space full and ready for me my family once we arrived. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The landlord checked in frequently and also had someone on hand for any malfunctions appliance. The only thing that can be approve is TV in the bedrooms but all and all we can’t wait to book this house again.

We found out about the tenant living on the property after we booked. I was disappointed the pool table had to be moved and the other gas fire place did not work. We also had trouble figuring out where all the light switches were. A lot of the window shades were broken or missing. The house can use some work.
