About Hopkins Village: Hopkins is a friendly village and because Blue Moon Cabana and Baby Blue Cabana are located in the center of Hopkins, you can walk to everything. You can also rent a bicycle, motorbike, or golf cart to get around. The Cabanas are situated on a private beachfront lot and because we're in a village we do have neighbors. Hopkins is a vibrant traditional village that comes alive early in the morning with the singing of tropical birds and the occasional rooster letting you know it's morning! If you're looking to experience the culture of a local village in Belize, Blue Moon Cabana and Baby Blue Cabana are the perfect spot. If you require a more luxurious and fancier experience, you may be happier with a resort-type accommodation in the north and south outskirts of the village. There is a variety of accommodation options in and around Hopkins to meet the diverse needs of vacationers.

An Unforgettable Stay at the Baby Blue Beach Front Cabana
Our time at the Baby Blue Cabana was nothing short of magical. This charming, simple spot truly has everything you need to enjoy your time in Hopkins, Belize. Nestled right in the heart of the entertainment district (if you can call it that in this laid-back village), itā€™s the perfect place to immerse yourself in the local culture.Youā€™ll find yourself surrounded by an eclectic mix of local bars, restaurants, and businesses run by both welcoming locals and expats from around the globe. One of the highlights for us was being just a short 10-minute drive from the best birria tacos weā€™ve ever had anywhere in the world! Beef Masters Pasture-Raised Farm has a food truck that is a must-visit; their tacos are absolutely incredible.What really made this experience stand out, though, were the people. The locals welcomed us with open arms and genuine warmth, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Itā€™s hard to overstate how special it is to feel so embraced by a community while traveling.If youā€™re looking for a simple, authentic, and wonderfully located spot to stay in Hopkins, the Baby Blue Cabana is the perfect choice. Mirko was great!
The property was a little smaller than we expected, so it was a little less ventilated than we hoped. However, the beachfront was very peaceful and mostly quiet. The location is also very convenient. Whenever we had issues Mirko was very responsive and went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Overall we had a wonderful experience and would book again.

Comfortable and convenient stay
The property was perfect for one person with all the necessary amenities, and was very clean. Its located right on the beach and only a stones throw from restaurants and bars in Hopkons nearby. Peaceful, with clear communication with the property owner whenever I had a question or needed to book a taxi to the airport.

What a little gem we found. While there is a larger cabana in front of the one we stayed in, blocking most of the ocean view we could still see the ocean a little bit, and literally it was a two minute walk to the beach. The cabana itself was very comfortable with a stocked kitchen, good bed and clean room. Just felt very homey. We'd make a simple breakfast and enjoy it on the deck. The birds were fun to watch, and the sunrises amazing. Walking distance to town which had several restaurants. Certainly hope to be back some day.

Right on the beach. Staff went out of their way to help me with getting from the airport, excursions-which definitely helped because I was on my own and most excursion companies have a minimum of 2 people. I would definitely come here again.

Cabin was exactly as advertised, plenty of room for 2, great water pressure, our host gave us good advice on local eateries and set us up with an outstanding snorkel trip with Patrick. Hopkins is a fantastic place, much more local flavor than the other seaside tourist areas.

Nice private cabana in the heart of Hopkins
Great communication with host, Mirko. Access and check in was smooth. We loved this cozy cabana. It was the smaller cabana on the property. Nice touch with the hammock and coconuts in the mini fridge. Though it was a bit tucked away from the beach, it is a very short walk (count about 30 steps). Walkable to shops and restaurants and ATM.

Cute little hideaway!
The cabana is adorable and has everything you need. The roosters crow every couple of hours throughout the day and night so earplugs are a must if you want to get some sleep. The bed is firm but not uncomfortable. Thongs cafe is right next door for breakfast and lunch and is pretty good. Also the Wi-Fi works great! Itā€™s soo peaceful hearing the ocean waves while youā€™re falling asleep and waking in the morning.

Loved this little cabana which turned out to be the most spacious and well equipped we got to stay during our trip! It's right on the beach and close to everything in town. I just wish it was built next to the bigger Blue Moon cabana instead of behind it, so we would get even more views! šŸ–ļø We were provided with a big basket of fruits šŸŒšŸŠ and two coconuts ready to drink in the fridge šŸ„„ which was a unique touch and really appreciated! But we had to get our own water and body soap - essentials that were included in every other place we stayed. Mirko is also a tour operator and made it extra easy for us to go on tours and schedule transfers. šŸ‘Œ Last but not least, the 3 neighbor's roosters behave a bit differently from every rooster I met previously in my life and instead of crowing just before sunrise, they sing you the song of their people 24/7 and are especially vocal between 1 AM and 8 AM. They're often accompanied by dogs barking or crying. It's a blessing that the host provides earplugs which made the noise bearable but even then it took a few nights for me to start getting used to it.

Beautiful little bungalow
Lovely stay at this bungalow for 4 nights. Very clean and well taken care of. Communication with caretaker was easy and he was very responsive. They provided earplugs which came in handy at night when there were some dogs barking.

Mirko was communicative and met me for both check in and check out. The cabana is small but spacious and really had everything I needed for my stay. I loved my little porch and I could see the ocean despite having a larger cabana in front of me. Do Not overpack as you do need to carry your luggage over sand about 100 yards to get to your little vacation home. This was the neatest property among a beach full of cabanas as it was kept raked and free of ocean detritus/garbage. Hopkins is a small community without boutiques or shopping but perfect if you want to immerse yourself in a friendly-ish town, eat local cuisine and take long walks on thr beach! I rented a car so I was able to easily leave town for the day to explore. And yes, That roosteršŸ˜‚. Ear plugs are provided for those light sleepers.

Fun friendly little village
This place is perfect for two. Very clean and stocked with everything you need and a few convenient extras like a small cooler to take on your dayā€™s adventure, yoga mats, extra towels for showers and beach, games and books. Property manager, Mirko was very nice and helpful and took time to make suggestions/answer our questions. The location is very close to bars, restaurants and groceryā€™s. But what comes along with such convenience, is noise. Loud late night music from the bar behind the cabana and some neighborhood roosters crowing were consistent during our 4 night stay so heads up if you are a light sleeper.
