Our recent stay at a VRBO near the Cynthia Pavilion had its ups and downs. First, the positives: communication with the host was excellent, and the location was ideal for attending the concert. Uber rides to and from the venue were convenient, making our commute hassle-free.
However, the experience was marred by some issues. The building itself had an unpleasant odor, which was off-putting. While the apartment smelled fine overall, the laundry room had a lingering unpleasant scent, possibly due to an old mop. Addressing this issue by either airing out the mop or replacing it would greatly improve the guest experience.
Furthermore, the lack of patio seating was disappointing, as it would have been nice to enjoy the outdoor space. Additionally, essential amenities such as shampoo, conditioner, and body soap were not provided in the shower, and the hand soap in the restroom needed to be refilled. Having these basics readily available would enhance the comfort of guests.
Another minor issue was the cleanliness of the fans, which appeared to have accumulated dust. A thorough cleaning of these fixtures would contribute to a more pleasant environment.
Despite these shortcomings, the check-in and check-out process was smooth, thanks to clear communication and easy access instructions. To further improve the experience, it would be beneficial for the host to provide an exit plan either in the apartment or via email, outlining any necessary procedures or reminders for guests.
