The property was in a location which was walkable to medical center and a long walk to museum district. The first room I was given the tub was not correctly installed and water only came through shower handle. There was no counter apace in the bathroom for essentials. I requested another room and the front desk had a maintenance man come up to prove the bathroom was not in proper order. The second room was better but the bathroom was so small that the shower was behind the bathroom door. I am a small woman and could barely close the bathroom door to use the toilet. The mini fridge was turned off so my dinner was spoiled. One of the lamps bulbs was out in the bedroom. My friend who stayed in another room said it was very dark in the room and no sink space for essentials. The restaurant downstairs was not better. I went down to have dinner. My glass had something floating in it. The waiter just took it away. Then I ordered some hummus and nan bread to bring to my room. The bread was so hard I could not break it in half. Very disappointed overall. Wish I stayed in the hotel next door!

Upon check in. Their system was down. They kept saying to come back and get your key. We tried to get a key all day. The staff was having to walk each guest to their room to let them in all day. It wasn’t till this morning that they were able to make a key. Staff handled this well.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Gave out license plate number to park and the reception clerk went ugh when he saw what state we are from. We joked it off and said we are neighbors be nice. He just smiled.

Very clean was upgraded rooms for ADA. Opened late because she knew coming and very nice. We did handicap self parking with no charges. We have been trying hotels for 11 years and my husband finally said remember this one!

The overall hotel is clean and very convenient to hospitals downtown Houston. The only negative was the lack of plugs but the phone did have some charging options. Most hotels have lamps that have usb ports at the base but these did not; that would be a definite help. Otherwise the overall experience was good.

Pay for parking in hotel parking lot.
This is second start at this facility in less than a year and this time we had to pay $25 plus tax to park our car in the parking lot, after paying near $200 for the room.

We enjoyed our stay. The breakfast was very good! The price was half as much as we paid last year at the Marriot just down the block, and only another 5 minutes walk to the hospital.
