Our contemporary Scottish A-Frame cabin under the stars! Designed by our Designer In Residence, MidPark is the essence of Rural Scottish Chic, and benefits from stunning views across the Deveron Valley.
Set on Mayen Estate, the cabin sits in over 700 acres of permaculture gardens and grounds, with exceptional riverside, woodland and meadow walks and friendly pigs, sheep, hens and an abundance of native wildlife.
Designed for a couples retreat or solo escape, MidPark is open plan and laid-back, with its glass apex bringing you closer to nature. The cabin is heated by a Scandinavian wood-burning stove and features British and Scottish designer furniture and a kingsize bed. The cabin has a wood-burning hot tub and outdoor cooking and dining facilities.
Reconnect with nature, with a stay at MidPark. The larch A-Frame cabin sits in a fenced-off corner of a "park" (Scottish word for field) that’s often home to sheep. The open-plan kitchen-living-dining allows for slowing down together in the warmth of the cabin. Have your morning coffee on the veranda, drinking in the view across the valley, explore our gardens and learn about our contemporary land-management practices. Enjoy the wilderness and gaze at the stars from the hot tub. Cook our fresh hens' eggs for breakfast in the fully-equipped kitchen or enjoy an outdoor Pizza Night.
Stays at MidPark are CLIMATE POSITIVE! All of our profits go directly towards nature, regeneration, rewilding and biodiversity projects on Mayen Estate.
Outside on the decking, you will find the Ooni pizza oven, top of the range Kamado charcoal BBQ and the woodfired hot tub which can be used year-round with an unlimited source of wood.
You'll be able to explore and enjoy the whole estate, with woodland and river walks, meadows, ponds, rock gardens and arboretums.
You can also access our private walled garden on weekdays for £20 per week.
We also offer fishing on the River Deveron, Picnics and Clay Pigeon Shooting, and we have recently opened our onsite Shoppe stocking seasonal produce from our Walled Garden and essential items for our guests.
There is much to see and do in the beautiful county of Morayshire:
Midpark just so happens to be perfectly situated at the heart of the Scottish castle trail, so there is certainly no shortage of ancient castles to visit as well as historic fishing villages, country houses and many different gardens.
For those who enjoy a long walk, there are countless coastal routes and hills to climb – a particular favourite for us would have to be Knock Hill, especially on a sunny day for the spectacular views.
If you are the adventurous sort, Glenlivet bike trails are a worthwhile visit with the routes ranging from blue to black. These are free to use, just pay for parking – if you cannot bring your own bike there are bikes available for hire at the centre.
