So I had 11 nights at this hotel.
I chose the hotel based on the star rating system and the seeming price reflected its online portrayal.
However, this could not be further from the truth as my first impressions were subdued and a little less "5 star reception" that I have been accustomed to in other hotels on the Egyptian resort coasts.
Firstly, on arrival, the hotel from the outside looked like they were constructing a large structure (turns out it was for the New Years celebration....fine, no biggie).
But on entrance into the Lobby and Hotel reception, it seemed a little....4 star-ish. Certainly not a 5 star entrance. The warm welcome however from the staff who checked me in was amazing. Same as was checking-out when they allowed me to stay for free for two more hours beyond the check out time.
The resort's facilities, decor and 'offerings' seemed to be a bit short considering they were claiming to be 5 stars.
For instance, the all-inclusive food buffett was nowhere near as amazing as my previous experience and I've been at 4 star hotels where they were providing way more of a service that felt 5 star-ish. The food was uninspired, not broad enough and cold.
My room was sea view but when I entered, it smelt of stale cigarettes 9even though I requested non-smoking) and it had an old funky smell like it had not been cleaned in a long time.
This proved to be true as I saw and observed dust gathered on door knobs and certain surface areas. The bathroom was not good at a
