It is situated in the traditional village of Episkopi, 20 min from the town of Agios Nikolaos and 10 minutes from the town of Ierapetra.The district is famous for the clear blue seas and sandy beaches awarded with E.C. blue flags. Istron bay, well known for the emerald green waters is 10 min by car.
There is a separate kitchen with fridge, oven, coffee makers, kettle and toaster. In the living room guests are offered a hi-fi system, TV, free Wi-Fi, a double sofa bed and air-condition. The bathroom has a shower over bath, hairdryer, iron and washing machine.
The garden boasts: a covered, fully equipped barbecue area perfect for breakfast, lunch or dinner surrounded by beautiful olive and fruit trees. It is perfect for an al fresco glass of wine, or just relaxing and unwinding after a long day of sightseeing. The house is quiet and looks at the mountains and nearby villages where one can go for an evening stroll and see life as it used to be.
Episkopi is a small village of only locals, surrounded by beautiful olive groves and if you are lucky, you may even see a shepherd herding his sheep nearby!
It is ideal for those who want to really live like a local, as it is away from touristic areas but has its own busy tavernas, cafƩ, and food market. If nightlife is what you are looking for, Agios Nikolaos and Ierapetra are close by. The Gorge of Ha is located 10 minutes away and is steeped in history and folklore not to mention the fabulous walks around streams and forest.
The original family home was built in and has stayed in the Vasileiou family ever since. In 2015 Manos and Maria decided to rebuild the original home, which was in a state of ruin, to its present state. With MariaĪs keen eye for decoration, it is a piece of paradise. Manos takes great pride in his wine-making which he makes at the house every year at the end of summer.
