Welcome to the Holiday House Paula!
You live in a large 120sqm modern newly built cottage in a quiet location, surrounded by gardens, with views of the mountain chains, on the southern slopes of the Kaiserstuhl in the warmest region of Germany.
Just a few minutes from the train and a few meters from the Kaiserstuhl cycle path, the result is a perfect mix between relaxation and adventure because of the proximity to local attractions such as the cathedral. How to get around without a car, with the cost-cone card safely. Bicycles can be rented in town. The central location in the border triangle allows easy and fast realizing a number of attractions, such as in Markgraeflerland, in the Black Forest or the neighboring Alsace. So also the Basel Zoo in about an hour's distance.
The residential street, yard and garden offer families with children pure fun, games and thus recovery.
By dividing the bedrooms and bathrooms over three floors, the house can be used as a 2-generation house. From the living room you enter a small balcony, the beautiful view invites you to linger evening.

Same next year!
This was the second time we have stayed in this property and it was every bit as good as we remembered. This time we took advantage of the guest cards, travelling into Freiburg on the train….free of charge and so easy. When we arrived there were Easter decorations, eggs and a lovely bottle of local wine. Would definitely recommend.

Great house, wonderful hosts
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wouldn't recommend the house and its gracious owners to anyone who might consider a vacation stay in the heart of the Kaiserstuhl wine region. The home afforded good separation of bedrooms between family and the grandmother. Well equipped home. A resounding Thank You!

High quality four storey home
This property has been furnished to a very high standard throughout and the accommodation is spread over four floors. There is plenty of space for a family of five across the three bedrooms including the loft space ideal for kids. The kitchen is large and fully equipped and there is a small first floor balcony off the lounge. The outdoor space is limited but includes a table and chairs. The only limitation is that the house faces mainly north but it has nice views over the village to compensate. There is excellent public transport which is free with the local tourist cards. The bakery in the village is open in the mornings for fresh bread and other basic supplies. Well located for EuropaPark at Rust. We enjoyed our brief stay.

Wonderful home and hosts
We have been renting many holidays homes over the past years and this house has managed to enter the top three! The lay out of the house works, it is extremely well equipped and so nice and clean. The hosts are wonderful too - checking in on a non intrusive way to see if all is ok. And on a few mornings a wee plate of raspberries was out in the terrace table - so happy boys! All in all a terrif week and we were sad to leave!

Very good clean modern well equipped house
The house is very modern, clean and very well equipped which was ideal for a family of 5. The rooms are light and spacious. There are 3 bathrooms/ toilets and a separate utility room. There was easy parking. The village has a good bakery and a restaurant serving traditional food. We used the railway into Frieburg as the station is within walking distance of the house. The use of public transport was free due to the guest cards. We explored the Black Forest from the house. We all slept well as the village is quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay.

Alles prima: neues Haus, sehr sauber, komplett ausgestattet (z.B. In Küche absolut nichts vermisst), reichlich Platz zumindest für 6-köpfige Familie, gute Betten. Ruhige Lage. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Aktivitäten am Kaiserstuhl, in Freiburg, und Umgebung, Schwarzwald, Europapark, oder für einen Abstecher nach Frankreich. Empfehlung: Fahrradtouren mit eBikes!

An excellent rental experience
The rental property was accurately described on VRBO but the pictures don't really do it justice. The property is almost new, spotlessly clean and very, very well equipped. As en example, we liked the coffee machine so much we thought of buying one like it. We were shocked to find it costs US$800. All of the fixtures and facilities are of that grade. The house has both water-based and photo-voltaic solar systems that look like something from the engine room of the star ship Enterprise. Everything worked beautifully. The rooms are spacious, light and airy with windows that can open or tilt, and which are equipped with built-in roller blinds ("Rolladen") and screens. The house is located at the end of a short lane in a tiny village that has a bakery and a fine restaurant. Several grocery stores and other shops are in the nearby village of Ihringen. We found this to be the perfect base for our vacation. The house is set in the most relaxing surroundings imaginable, but is an easy drive to local attractions such as Freiburg, Staufen, Colmar and (our favorite) Roufach on the French wine road. The owners could not have been nicer or more helpful.

Wir waren mit fünf Erwachsenen Personen zu Gast und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Beschreibung und die Fotos passen zu 100%. Bemerkenswert ist das bei Anreise alles perfekt sauber war. Das haben wir bisher so noch nicht vorgefunden.

Sehr schöner Kurzurlaub
Sehr netter Empfang durch Frau Briem. Blumen auf dem Tisch und Sekt und Wasser im Kühlschrank. Im Haus alles vorhanden was man braucht. Wir haben nichts vermisst. Schwimmbad und alles drum herum (Liegen, Tisch und Stühle überdacht) sehr schön und das Wasser angenehm warm. Alles sehr gepflegt und sauber. Auch der schöne Grillplatz wurde von uns genutzt. Insgesamt eine sehr schöne Unterkunft, wir waren mit vier Frauen unterwegs, das Haus eignet sich aber auch sehr gut für Familien mit Kindern. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit 😊

Selten hab ich ein Haus erlebt, dass so sauber war. Es gab keine schmuddeligen Ecken oder Staubflusen. Das Haus wurde schon öfters bewohnt und man weiß, dass es schon länger auf den Markt ist, aber der Allgemeinzustand wird immer auf Schuss gehalten. In der Küche waren alle Dinge super sauber. Egal was man rausgezogen hat, man musste keine Bedenken haben. Ich würde das Haus immer und sofort weiterempfehlen! Wir kommen wieder! Danke für den unkomplizierten und schönen Aufenthalt!

Silvester in Wasenweiler
Unser Aufenthalt vom 30.12.23 - 03.01.24 war sehr gut. Wir sind mit drei Pärchen angereist und haben uns in dem Haus direkt rundum wohlgefühlt. Wir durften auf Nachfrage hin viel früher ins Haus und wurden sehr herzlich empfangen. Alle meine Fragen die ich vorab gestellt habe (zur Umgebung, Restaurant in der Nähe etc.) wurden zeitnah beantwortet. Als Willkommen stand eine Flasche Sekt und ein Glas Marmelade auf dem Esstisch. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr modern. Alle drei Schlafzimmer sind groß und es ist alles vorhanden allem was man so braucht. Die Badezimmer top modern. Alles mit Liebe dekoriert, in jedem der einzelnen Räume. Es gab sogar einen Weihnachtsbaum. Was uns gefehlt hat, ist ein Fernseher in der Küche/Essecke da wir uns dort als Gruppe am meisten aufgehalten haben. Wäre das Wetter besser gewesen, hätten wir einen perfekten Kurzurlaub gehabt. Perfekter Urlaub
Das war das beste Ferienhaus, welches wir je hatten. Perfekt ausgestattet, alles sauber, kein unnötiger Deko-Schnickschnack. Gastgeber waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Man hat überall gemerkt, dass es ihnen wichtig ist, dass Gäste sich wohl fühlen und ihren Urlaub genießen können. Zur Begrüßung gab es sogar eine Flasche Wein und anderes. Unsere Kinder fanden den Pool besonders klasse.
