Overall would stay again. Only additions would be a cutting board and maybe a gas fire pit for the porch to enjoy outdoor seating when cooler

Our First Family Vacation to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!
A Large three-story Victorian house. Beautiful exterior and interior, just like the photos in the listing. The neighborhood is quiet. The kitchen is large, well equipped and has a covered adjoining outdoor patio accessed through a sliding glass patio door. The utility room has a washer and dryer and a refrigerator which is needed when you have a large group. We utilized the kitchen table and patio for every breakfast and evening meal. The parking area, including a two-car garage is more than you will need. The front porch was spacious with comfortable furniture. The cooling on all three floors was more than we needed. The hot water never ran out, even with 16 people taking showers. My 7 grandchildren and some of the adults enjoyed the three-block walk to the ISH Ice Cream shop for Purple Cow ice cream. Really Good! The corn hole game was an added surprise that the adults and kids played in the back side yard. Many places of interest kept us busy all week. The beaches in Ishpeming are beautify and the water is crystal clear. Cliff jumping at Black Rocks in Marquette at Presque Isle Park is super fun. A day trip to Munising to see the Pictured Rocks by taking a two-hour cruise on Lake Superior was great fun and a beautiful experience to be on the water. Pictured Rock National Lakeshore Park was fun to explore. Overall, we had a wonderful time with my daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren. Coming home to this wonderful house was enjoyed by all.

Amazing house, very clean and so many spaces to laugh and have fun with family
Large House with many bedrooms. The front patio, backyard deck, living room, kitchen, and 3rd floor living room were all enjoyed immensely by myself and family. We played our nightly card games upstairs. Dinner could be enjoyed outside and in the kitchen. Corn hole was also fun to play in the backyard. I loved to sit in the privacy of the front deck and read a book. The ground floor living room was a great anchor point for the family in general to talk or play other games.

All of us under one roof!!
My family came to the UP to celebrate our Mom’s/Grandma’s life and spread her ashes in the same location where we had spread my Dad’s in 2008. Our hope was to find a property that could house us all and this one fit the bill! It’s a beautiful, if quirky house and proved to be a little challenging for sleeping quarters because on the second floor, two of the bedrooms are adjoined, and that meant for our family, one of the nephews would have to walk through the senior adults rooms to go to bed and/or go to use the bathroom across the hall. We found a way to work around it, but it was just unfortunate that that room didn’t have its own entrance since there is plenty of room to put one in. We had a few issues with the house being very cold, but we lived through it. Other than those two issues, the house was perfect and Nikki was a delight to work with. The location was great as we were close to relatives in Marquette, Shot Point where we spread the ashes, and our adventures in Munising where my Dad was born. It was a blessing to be able to have the entire family under one roof, and for the cousins to be able to spend such close time together since they are spread all over the US. This is a beautiful property, with a lot of amenities, perfect for a large group of people. Thanks, Nikki!

Convenient location, easy access to neighborhood amenities, ample parking, safe neighborhood, private fenced in yard, front porch and back deck dining & lounge furniture, historic home with comfortable, period features, Plenty of furnishings/seating/linens/towels. Ample supply of soaps (dish, hand, laundry) and kitchen and bath paper products and wraps to get you started. Fun house layout! Several dining and gathering areas. Bathrooms in each floor. Two separate stairways to the second floor. One set of stairs led to 2 bedrooms; the other set lead to 3 bedrooms, the bathroom, and the third floor. Great location for large family/friend group. Perfect Place for Family Wedding Weekend
Perfect place for our 2-families to stay for my son and daughter-in-law’s wedding at Little Presque Isle. Between both families including bride/groom, parents, siblings, grandparents, best man & maid of honor, we used each of the 9-bedrooms in this very well-equipped house. The kitchen was large with modern appliances with ample seating space. The living room, upstairs rec room, and covered porch provided great hangout areas. I highly recommend this house for large group stays in the Marquette area.

Outstanding House and Location
A group of us had 4 days of dirt bike trail riding in the UP and used this VRBO as our base. It is a charming house with great amenities. We all marveled at the beautiful front porch and great deck and covered porch in the back. We spent our evenings outside star-gazing and enjoying the quiet night time. We walked to great restaurants and shops in downtown Ishpeming. We had no complaints about anything; in fact, all our expectations were exceeded! If we get the chance to do this again next year, our first choice would here. Many thanks to our host for great communication and information.

Family Gathering for Funeral
We came to Michigan from all over the country to fulfill my mom‘s wishes of having her ashes scattered in Lake Superior. It was a difficult time, but also joyous for us all to be together. The house was a perfect place for us to be together as a family. The owner was accommodating to every request, and very responsive. The beds were all very comfortable, check in and check out was super easy. Everyone in our family was so grateful to have such a beautiful space to come together. Thank you so much.

UP Family Vacation
My husband grew up in the area, so it has always been a favorite of ours and our children. Our stay was fabulous. Gorgeous home with so much space for the 9 of us. Our grandchildren got to really explore the area. Easy walk to downtown for pizza, ice cream, coffee and antiquing. Also close to all of the local attractions. Marquette is a real treasure also with Presque Isle and Lake Superior beaches. A lovely time and would definitely return.

Lots of space in this beautiful updated house.
July 2023 visit to the UP with friends and family. This house was super clean, the bedrooms are roomy and there was lots of space to spread out. Third floor rec room and large kitchen made it easy to spend time with our large group. The central air was excellent keeping the upper floors as cool as the main floor. The large mud room for all our shoes and coolers helped keep the rest of the house tidy. Extra refrigerators also were a plus in a house this size. The location has many attractions within a 45 minute drive. I would love to rent again should I return to the area with a large group.

Wedding weekend
The property exceeded our expectations.. the pictures online are for real!! Our son got married on a Friday at Presquele Isle Park. We had family make the trip from downstate. Was nice we gave the code to those staying with us so whenever they got there they were able to get in. The place had plenty of room where no one felt on top of each other! Beds were comfortable, house was clean!! The only bad thing to say is the bathroom door on the second floor needs some wd 40!! But we even had some fun with that!!! Thanks for being a part of our son's wedding weekend !!

Great house in a great location
The house was perfect for our group of snowmobilers. There were enough room for everyone to have their space, a huge mud room to take off gear, ample parking for our 4 trailers and 5 trucks. It was so close to the trail and central to trips in all directions. The house was well stocked and very clean. The house itself is very beautiful and you can see that the work done in it was authentic to the original style. The bedrooms are very big and beds are all very comfortable. There is not much anyone could find to complain about we loved it. The host was very responsive to questions. I would definitively recommend as a great place to stay.

Amazing and beautiful property
I would absolutely love to know the history of this house and from looking at photos online before it was remodeled, the new owners have done a fabulous job of updating it and making it modern, while preserving many of the homes nostalgic features. While we did not utilize all the bedrooms, it is huge and would accommodate a much larger group. The home has plenty of towels, pots and pans, dishes, etc. We did purchase and leave behind a set of drinking glasses as there were not very many, but it had everything you could imagine otherwise. We even took advantage of the Kitchen Aide mixer to make our annual deviled eggs. The house was clean with comfortable furniture and my nephew commented that the bed he slept in on the third floor was the best he had ever slept on! Four bathrooms made it easy for everyone to have their turn. There is plenty of parking and the owners kept us plowed out very well, despite the winter storm. Overall, this amazing home made our holiday so memorable. If I ever have reason to have a large group for an Ishpeming stay again, I would definitely stay here!
