The location is great, a 5 minute walk to the lifts. Nazaire our local contact was fantastic, we got stuck on the mountain on the way in and he came and collected us in the middle of the night. Accommodation was nice and clean.

The apartment is lovely - very spacious, clean and warm with lots of equipment.
We are a family of four including two children who are Level 3 Star skiing competency. The apartment was very lovely with under floor heating which was perfect for warmth and for drying clothes and boots! There is lots of equipment in the kitchen area and everything was easy to operate! We tend to choose larger properties so there is space for storage and drying, and this accommodation was perfect! We could spread out and make use of the 3 bedrooms. The wooden sun terrace was also lovely as well as spacious and with power sockets. Wifi worked well, as did the television. It was also very quiet and we slept brilliantly. It was clean when we arrived, with extra bedding available in the cupboards. We cleaned thoroughly at the end of our stay, thanks to cleaning products as well as mop and hoover. We skied almost to the door at the end of the day, down the Sierra run, which is blue but quite steep at the top. From there, we walked a few minutes along the little road. The apartment has a ski locker downstairs which is really convenient. In the mornings, there is a short cut via some apartments opposite, then you can ski down a little path to join the Sierra run. This would be challenging for complete beginners, however this is the 3rd ski trip for our children so they are quite competent. It is possible to use the free ski bus or funicular lift down to the main road and easier green ski run. There are no shops in the upper area of Isola, so you need to be organised and plan trips to supermarket when down in the main area of Isola. We usually rent skis from Sport 2000 rather than Skiset due to the more competitive prices and special offers. The Isola website also has ski pass offers so it is worth booking ahead. The children loved sledging down the steep slope behind the apartment at the end of the day. Travel to Isola 2000 from Nice airport is very simple via the Lignes d'Azur 750 ski bus which costs just a few Euros for a family, instead of average 150 Euro price for a pre-booked taxi. Timetables are usually on the Isola 2000 website, although we always find that there are extra buses departing from the airport. We really appreciated being able to deposit our luggage earlier as we arrived by 12.30 and Christophe kindly transferred our bags for us. We had another fabulous ski holiday in Isola 2000 and loved our stay in Star 2 apartment. I would recommend this accommodation and the owner who alway replied to any queries.... Enjoy!

2 Families & 2 Apartments
The location and convenience of both Star 1 & Star 2 are great, a 5 minute walk, with kids to the venicular which takes you to the slopes at the bottom is very easy going, we booked both Star 1 and Star 2 residence and we shared them between our family and our friends family. Plenty of room in both, bedrooms were comfortable and bathrooms very clean. Kitchens were fully equipped, and the balconies offered good views of the mountains. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back, even though Isola is not the prettiest ski resort you will visit, it does offer great value for money and some good skiing when the conditions are right, it is also very close to Nice airport, so easy transfer with the kids, 1.5hrs up the mountain from the airport, rather than the usual 3 to 4 hour hikes. The Ski School is also excellent, ESF offered an amazing package, which allowed the adults to get a good mornings skiing and snowboarding in! Cant wait to go back....

Spacieux et lumineux
Appartement spacieux réparti sur 2 étages (1 grande chambre 3 pers + salle de bain baignoire + WC indépendant au rdc), toutes les autres pièces étant à l'étage avec un lit 1 pers en mezzanine (pour un enfant car on ne tient pas debout). Les pièces sont assez grandes et lumineuses. Ce n'est pas le propriétaire qui nous accueille, l'entrée dans les lieux se fait de manière autonome mais un couple (contact agréable avec Nazaire) est disponible en cas de besoin. Le ménage de surface est correct mais l'appartement mériterait un entretien et nettoyage de fond qui le rendrait plus propre et donc accueillant. Pour ceux qui aiment prendre leurs repas dehors, à savoir que la terrasse dont la vue est très agréable est couverte et ne reçoit donc pas le soleil, les repas se prennent à l'ombre. Le chalet se trouve sur les hauteurs de la station, il faut compter un bon 5 mn pour rejoindre la station (où se trouvent les commerces en galerie marchande couverte) à pied. A côté du chalet, il y a un parking où il est facile de se garer. Quelques départs de randonnées directement accessibles depuis Isola 2000 qui se trouve à une demi-heure de voiture d'Isola village où un écart de 10 degrés peut se faire ressentir en été. Bien évidemment, on est en altitude, la météo étant alléatoire, prévoir les vêtements adéquats :)

La vue, l'ensoleillement, la terrasse exterieure, l'emplacement, le chauffage par le sol, l'aménagement. .. pourraient faire de cet appartement un lieu au top du top,... si bon nombre de détails ne venaient pas gâcher ce tableau idyllique : - Personne pour nous accueillir malgré ce qui était convenu = pas d'etat des lieux à l'entrée alors qu'il y avait pas mal de choses à signaler - Pas de parking alors qu'il est inclus - Propreté superficielle - Lave vaisselle endommagé (comme le réfrigérateur )et difficilement utilisable - Poignée de porte arrachée -.... .et pas de réactivité lorsque nous informons le propriétaire dès le lendemain de notre arrivée. Quel dommage !
