Nice Host. Very clean. Improvements needed.
The host was apologetic, easy to communicate with and responded quickly at first to questions. There was no house info inside to answer questions before calling her . This is a very tiny older house that has been decorated simply and very cute inside. The beds were very comfortable. It was very clean but had 6 strongly scented plug in fragrances which we removed. Covering up old smoke smell perhaps. Location was great for our needs.
The important improvements needed are:
1. to include the dryer which the amenity list said was on property, but which was not. So doing laundry wasn’t possible. The mgr. didn’t respond to my question about this.
2. To upgrade kitchen amenities. The only appliances were a crockpot, coffee maker and toaster. So bring your own as you have need.
3. The living area was cold as the wall heater could not keep up and the purchased large room heater leaked on the floor. It got down to the low 30’s at night outside. The bedroom wall heaters kept those rooms warm with the doors closed. The wood stove shown in pictures is not operable unless you bring your own wood.
4. Entry is through the carport area. Turning on the outdoor light is via a switch in one of the bedrooms. Entry or exiting through the “front door” isn’t possible as it’s highly overgrown with weeds right at the threshold.
5. My fault that I didn’t notice the holiday prices bumped up $100/night. Compare hotel prices.
