Get back to nature and experience lake life in style when you stay at this brand new, secluded 5-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom custom vacation home. Boasting over 3,200 square feet of living space and sleeping accommodations for 12, this home is the perfect lake house for families looking to get away from the stress of every day life and reconnect with nature and each other. The home sits on 135+ private acres and offers beautiful views of Bolt Lake. Spend your days swimming or fishing off the private dock, explore the lake by kayak or paddle board, and roam the beautiful property via miles of groomed trails.

THE PROPERTY

Natural light pours over the open great room through a towering wall of windows that overlooks a wraparound porch and the serene Bolt Lake. A stunning wood-burning fireplace surrounded by magnificent stonework is the highlight of this already beautiful space. Adjacent to the living area lies the dining area, where you can bring the whole family together around a charming wood table for a gourmet meal. The first floor also hosts an expansive family room with a large sectional sofa and an 85” flat screen TV. The family room also has a ping pong table for competitive family fun!

Prepare tonight’s menu options in the fully equipped kitchen, which comes complete with everything you’ll need to cook all your favorites. A charming breakfast bar allows you to keep the chef company while they work their magic in the kitchen.
Spend some time in the third floor loft, accessed by ladder and primed for entertaining afternoons at home. The space is brightly lit with natural light flooding through large windows and includes a top of the line Fooseball table with additional toys, games and puzzles to keep the youngest (and often oldest) members of the family entertained.
The second floor seating area features a flat screen with Internet TV so you will never miss an important game or favorite show. The DVD player and selection of family friendly DVDs offers a great option for rainy days.

The second floor also hosts 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom with double sinks and a bath/shower combo. The home is ready to accommodate the youngest of guests with an available pack-n-play for sleeping and a high chair for dining. The primary bedroom is conveniently located on the first floor and offers a beautiful en suite bathroom with double sinks and a custom walk-in shower. 2 additional bedrooms, each with double beds, are conveniently located on the first floor off of the family room.

Bask in the serenity of the surrounding woods and lake views as you step out to your own outdoor oasis. The screened in porch with seating for 8 is the perfect spot for morning coffee or a guaranteed bug free dinner. Grab a good book and lounge on the wrap around porch. A short trail brings you down to the private dock where you can enjoy unrestricted access to the water during your stay. Your stay includes access to 3 kayaks, 2 stand up paddleboards, a paddleboat and a canoe. The property also boasts miles of groomed trails offering scenic nature walks all year round. For additional activities, follow one of the paths to the custom archery and 120-yard gun range. After a full day enjoying the property, a fire pit at the waters edge is the perfect spot for toasting the day and roasting marshmallows.

THE LOCATION
With a 135+ private acres and beautiful Bolt Lake as your backyard, you may never want to step foot off the property! Bolt Lake is part of the Gang of Lakes, which allows you to explore 4 additional lakes via connecting channels. The lakes are great fishing for bass, crappie, bluegill, sunfish, catfish and pike. The property is also bordered by Rice Creek and has additional frontage on Gordan Lake and another small pond.
The property is just North of the city of Albion (home to Albion College) and is a quick 15 minute drive from the cute town of Marshall or the city of Jackson. It is also less than an hour drive from both East Lansing and Ann Arbor, making it a great option for college football weekends.
A fast 20 drive will take you to Firekeeper’s Casino in Battlecreek where you can enjoy over 2,900 slot machines, 70 table games and a 14-table non-smoking poker room in addition to numerous tasty dining options.

The best part about this property is its location. Away from traffic, but next to water and interior. Home is clean and comfortable for our 3 families. Mike was responsive. He even allowed us to checkout an hour late.

Great Relaxing Getaway
Immaculate house near a lake. Very comfortable place. The hosts were very easy to communicate with. We had two 7-year-olds and 4 adults along with a dog and the place was plenty big for all of us. We had a great time. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.

We came out to the land for Memorial Day. There were 10 of us which the property easily housed in comfort. The property is in a great secluded location, and the house is clean and well maintained. The lakeside amenities were fantastic, and all around we just had a great time. We’ll definitely be trying to come back.

Lakeside retreat
We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed sitting on the porch, paddling around the lakes, watching wildlife, cooking, and playing ping pong. Would recommend. Just a note (which was also noted in the listing so it wasn’t a surprise) but even in early season we found a number of ticks so just be careful and check yourself. We still had a wonderful time and everyone commented on how great the house was.

Wonderful private getaway
We loved out time at "The Land." The house was spotless, spacious, and was set up well for a group of our size (12). The bluetooth speakers throughout the house were a nice touch that we utilized. We loved hanging out by the lake around the fire, and explored the trails. Albion was a short 10 minute drive and we took advantage of that and went in to town for dinner. Everything was as it should be, check in was easy, as was check out. This property is highly recommended!

Dream home
The house we have now named Serenity because it’s is so peaceful and beautiful. The house has so much space for everyone to hang out . We loved the huge family room with the ping pong table and massive tv with a nice sectional to watch your Detroit lions or a good movie . The surround sound system inside and out is fantastic. The large dining room table to gather and play games . We saw deer this morning . Can’t wait to come back in the late summer and use the kayaks and all the water toys . Fantastic Private Getaway
We have a tradition going with very close friends of ours and all of our kids of trying to get away at least once a year in the winter to a nice place that is quiet but we can still get out and do things. This has probably been our best so far as the house was fantastic and the land was as advertised. The only issue we ran into which has been common lately is without snow and with more rain we didn't get to explore as much of the land as we wanted as parts were pretty muddy and we just weren't prepared for it. Everyone had a great time, and unlike some recent homes we rented, it was only about ten minutes to get into the closest main town which had a full grocery store, plenty of food options, and even a very cool kids exploration center that we all went to and was a lot of fun for the kids. In all it was a great trip and we all think we will be back, and may even try for a spring/summer visit since the lake access was so close and also private since you had nobody next to you, and we still want to get out and explore the trails more. Thanks to the hosts for letting us come out!

The Perfect Getaway
The Land was everything we could have wanted and more! We wanted a quiet place to get away with a few family members and elope. It was perfect. quiet getaway
We loved staying here. We had a big group of friends and a couple of small children. Everything was clean and accessible. We enjoyed walking the trails and shooting at the range. Ping pong table and tv room was a big hit. Would recommend for large families or groups. 4 bedrooms are for couples and then the last bedroom has bunk beds (+ trundles) for six; two couples had to sleep in there and one person threw a mattress up into the loft area. But it all worked out great for us.

Amazing Home!
The house and property were absolutely amazing and even better than described! We rented for our sons wedding weekend and were in awe of the beautiful scenery around the house. When we pulled in we were treated by two deer and a hawk flying overhead. Our family are huge nature lovers and we instantly were overjoyed! When we entered the house my husband, son and I were so happy to see the view of the lake through the fall colors of Michigan! Absolutely breathtaking! My son was so excited for his groomsmen to stay and hang out with him after the rehearsal. The house was perfectly set up to host a small rehearsal dinner and host all the groomsmen for the overnight as we all were from out of town. The kitchen was well stocked with some everyday items in the fridge! We stay at VRBO’s often and have NEVER had a stocked fridge of the “small things” you tend to forget! Mike was so helpful with all of my questions and responded in an appropriate amount of time. My advice…BOOK NOW! You will Not regret it!

The property and house are fantastic. Tons of windows and natural light. So many deer on the property. Any time you look out the window you see a deer. Owners check in instructions were detailed and easy to follow. Bose surround sound that was throughout the house and onto the deck was nice. Cannot get more secluded. This was our second year coming to this amazing house. We had another amazing stay. Our kids fished nonstop and enjoyed using the kayaks provided. The property is absolutely beautiful, and the home is just perfect. It was so clean and perfect for us and our five kids. There is so much to do here. This property is beautiful! Nice and secluded, just what we needed. I think our dog loved it more than we did. She was able to roam without a leash, she wouldn't go far and just enjoyed sitting on the deck .we enjoyed all of the trails. Will definitely try and come back!

Fabulous home. Trails were great - so many and well maintained. Our dogs loved every walk and scent. Kayaking 2-3 times a day. So many deer, cranes, swans, heron to see. Even a bald eagle! The lakes were great to kayak on - Clark Lake was so large - had it all to ourselves. Amazing stay overall.

The theater/game room was a big hit and it's position kept the rest of the house quiet. The large windows facing the water and three sessions room were great when it rained. The photos don’t do this place justice, it is stunning. The beds are comfy. The house had everything and more inside and out. We had so much fun in the lake.
