From the start, everything went smoothly. Shortly after booking, the owner reached out to me to provide info about the townhouse and the island. The townhouse was recently remodeled and was very nice. There is a vanity in the master bedroom, which turned out to come in handy since it's a one bathroom unit. We were able to shave and brush our teeth in it, while the shower was in use.
The townhouse was very clean and well kept up.
The complex was well maintained and quiet. We didn't get a chance to use the pool, but we took a look at it and it looked very nice.
The beach is small on that portion of the island, and disappears at high tide, but is usable most of the day. There is also a wide strip of sand behind the breakwall with chairs, a boardwalk, and a pavilion that you can use. We spent most of the day at the beach.
The complex borders agains Driftwood Beach, so we were able to walk there for sunrise.
I hadn't been to Jekyll Island in almost 20 years. I liked that there are now some restraunt and shopping choices on the island. I also liked that they didn't turn it into another St. Simons Island. Jekyll is still very quiet and much of the island is natural beauty.
Overall, we were very happy with the townhouse, complex, and location. We would definatly stay there again.
