FYI! The hotel was apparently renovated recently which is a good thing but it was just ok.
My wife and I were visiting friends on our way home from a business trip and decided to spend a couple nights in Jeonju. I made the reservation on Hotels.com because the pictures looked good. I booked a standard (Netflix) double bed room.
When we arrived I went to the check-in desk and found a tiny window surrounded by black walls. The window is about waist high. Check in was easier than every other hotel we have stayed at in S. Korea and it felt like perhaps the hotel doesn't want to see who is checking in. They also gave a "gift bag" that had several hygiene type items but also included 2 "male prophylactics". This only increased my suspicions that the hotel is not intended for long term/family stays.
We got to the room and found it was clean. It had toothpaste on the sink like a previous guest forgot it and a bar of soap in the shower. It is apparently for everybody to use since it was there after they cleaned the room for the second day of our stay. Yuck!
The bed was VERY hard which is a typical bed in Asia. The towels are more like hand towels and not bath size. There was no remote for the air con so the only way to use it was to plug it in or unplug it. The parking garage is small but ok. The area nearby has many night time activities so the noise level was a bit more than expected. With all the windows closed we could block most of the light & noise.
