Chalet Pure Slovenia - Tranquil location - Majestic mountain views

The Chalet is just 30 min drive from the airport and is located in a hillside hamlet 620m above the Medieval town of Kamnik.

It has great views of the limestone peaks of the Kamniske Alps and is surrounded by beautiful Alpine countryside.

The traditional chalet-style accommodation comprises a large 1st floor bedroom with balcony sleeping four. The downstairs bedroom sleeps two. The living-room has a corner sofa and wood burner for those cosy evenings in. The galley-style kitchen is well equipped.

Outside is a large terrace with comfortable seating plus seating for alfresco dining. There is garden on all sides and a barbecue. The basement has laundry facilities and ample storage for skis, etc.

With compact but comfortable accommodation, the chalet is ideal as a tranquil all- year-round retreat to 'get away from it all', for a romantic break, Skiing holiday, or a central base within easy reach of all Slovenia's main attractions.

** Please note that the stairs in the chalet are quite steep so may not be suitable for very young children of those with mobility issues. **

There is plenty of garden and outdoor space to enjoy the beautiful alpine setting of the chalet and there are several very enjoyable walks starting directly from the chalet taking in forests, alpine meadows, the quaint local villages, spectacular views of the mountains and overlooking the whole of the Ljubljana basin.

The local town of Kamnik has an excellent choice of restaurants, café bars and shops. This atmospheric little town, with its baroque architecture, narrow streets full of character , castles and churches is a popular choice for visitors, the tourist information office is located in the centre of town along with numerous tempting pavement cafes and bars to enjoy coffee, ice cream or a leisurely lunch.

Another local must-see is the high mountain pasture plateau of Velika Planina, 1600m above sea level, with the best-preserved herdsmen settlements in Europe, reached by cable-car ride

Activities:: When the snow falls this area is a winter wonderland, with the local ski resort of Krvavec...one of Slovenia's most popular ski resorts only around 9 miles from the chalet. The gondola also operates in the summer, taking paragliders, bikers and walkers.

Other local activities include walking and trekking on beautiful alpine trails for all ages and abilities along rivers, gorges, waterfalls, mountains and forests. Road and mountain biking are also very popular with recommended routes available, paragliding, fishing and horse riding.

Slovenia has so much to offer as a holiday destination, from it's friendly people, beautiful alpine scenery, the idyllic lakes of Bohinj and Bled, the Adriatic coast and world famous Postojna and Skocjan caves to the vibrant capital of Llubljana . The superb range of activities and experiences for all ages makes this is a country visitors fall in love with and revisit again and again.

Everything about this place was perfect!
We loved everything about our stay. The owners helped me with SOOO many things...from finding guides for excursions to authentic gifts....they were BEYOND wonderful! The only thing I would stay is note that if you are unable to do steep stairs this probably isn't for you, as is stated. Just putting it here in hopes no one ignores that fact! For us it was PERFECT! LOVED it. Beautiful scenery, amazing mountains and stars...PERFECT!! I HIGHLY recommend this property!

Excellent chalet with fantastic views of the mountains
Property is lovely, with everything you need for your stay. As mentioned the stairs to downstairs are steep but perfectly manageable. What was lovely was the additional access to the woodshed so that we could have the relaxers up on the terrace. The property is very rural, we had a hire car so we were able to travel around and enjoy the sights if Slovenia but you need a car just for shopping. But it's probably worth being rural for the views and the peace and quiet.

Wonderful retreat in the hills with stunning views.
Booked this last second due to Covid chaos. Mark (owner) was very helpful and quick to respond. Property itself is in a beautiful location, very quiet with stunning views over the hills toward the central plain, and has everything you need utility wise. Easy access to facilities in Kamnik including good size supermarkets, restaurants and shops, and an easy drive to the Grintavec massif for hiking. Stairs are very steep but manageable, but sleeping downstairs was welcome in the summer as it was noticeably cooler than the rest of the house.

Cosy chalet up in the hills
Although compact, this chalet has everything for relaxing holidays in the Slovenian hills & mountains. The chalet is located within a short driving distance from the pleasant small city Kamnik only, but still, one can easily enjoy a sense of "remoteness". Having said that, the chalet offers a very high level of comfort (two bathrooms, wifi, flat screen TV with netflix, bluetooth speaker) and the owners have done a marvelous job in decorating it. We were also impressed by the creativity in terms of storage room, the line for drying laundry, the efficient use of space in the kitchen, the availability of a tick removal device, etc. As also some highlights of the country (Ljubljana, Lake Bled, Predjama castle) are within a comfortable driving distance,, this enjoyable place is located very well. One can mingle with the crowds during the day and have a relaxing dinner on the terrace far away from other tourists in the evening. Recommended!

A wonderful place to restore body and soul!
The house was cosy and comfortable, inside and out. The owners have provided everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The stairs take a bit of getting used to - it will be a novelty to walk forward down the stairs at home! The drive from the bottom of the valley to the house is quite narrow and steep, the journey is fine once it has been attempted a couple of times. The house is not as isolated as the pictures may imply, but the neighbours are unobtrusive and friendly. We had the local elderly retriever visit us regularly - I suspect he thinks the tourists are a soft touch for scraps!

Wow an idyllic location , peaceful and picturesque.
We had a fantastic relaxing holiday. The accommodation was perfect for us. The chalet had everything we needed. Guidance and advice was issued when requested. There is copious amounts of travel information located inside chalet. The shelves were bulging with dvds catering for all tastes. Slovenia has breathtaking beauty and scenery. The people are friendly and welcoming. On two occasions we had to be diverted around roadblocks ( bin and sewage lorries) farmers guided us on little cut throughs. Overall a holiday to remember and we'll be back. Thank you .

Absolutely lovely property tucked away on the side of the mountain. Very clean and comfortable with all the amenities you could need. The owners were wonderful to work with, even sending us local maps and pamphlets to our home before our arrival. So peaceful to sit on deck and relax.

Beautiful Slovenian chalet, peaceful location overlooking the valley
We had a wonderful 2 week stay in Brezje Nad Kamnikom. The chalet is very well equipped and nicely decorated, there were many DVD's and books to keep us amused in the evening with good Wifi. The chalet is in a very convenient position to reach all the sights in the region, we travelled about 1000km in our time there. The village of Brezje is very peaceful with farms and lots of fruit trees. You can walk easily into the hills to explore. The chalet views and sunsets were lovely. Kamnikom town is very pleasant and only a short drive away, we can recommend 7Burger if you have to go shopping at the Hofer and need a reward. The close proximity of the ALPs is a real draw along with Logaska Dolina and Velika Planina. Slovenia is a wonderful country and we would go back in a heartbeat. The chalet would be a great place to stay again, exploring the places that we didn't quite manage in the 2 weeks. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

A True Slovenian Experience
Staying in Brezje Nad Kamnikom made our trip complete. After full days of exploring and visiting spectacular Slovenia, coming home to our house on the hill was a daily highlight. The space is warm, well laid out, and you get used to the stairs! The kitchen is compact but entirely what it needs to be. The views are spectacular and the neighbours very welcoming and friendly (even the dogs that came to say Hi). The location is perfect for those who enjoy fitness and yoga: great hill repeats followed by stretching on the wide open deck. The house is no fancy hotel, you need to be Spartan with hot water (family of four) and shop for sundry supplies, but cooking your own food, doing laundry, and having your own place to hang out are the reasons to rent a gem like this. Our hosts were very responsive to any questions and made us feel very at ease with our booking from start to finish, always looking for ways to enhance our vacation. Our memories of this trip are definitely complemented and warmed by our stay at Pure Slovenia Alpine chalet.

The Chalet is one the best equipped accommodation we have ever experienced . It is clear that Mark thought about anything . This is a great place for a family ,as a center point for star trips in the area. Wonderful, well equipped chalet with beautiful views in the perfect position for seeing Slovenia.
The chalet contained everything we needed and more. It was clean and well looked after, we even had a couple of visits from the local caretaker to make sure that problems the previous guests had with hornets had been resolved (they were) as well as to provide extra essentials such as coffee, salt and oil. We spent a lot of our time just sitting on the terrace gazing at the glorious views which constantly changed depending on the time of the day and the weather. It was a wonderful relaxing place to while away the time. Everywhere we wanted to visit was within easy driving distance on quiet well maintained roads. In fact I was so pleased we hadn't opted to stay near Bled as this was the only place we encountered any traffic jams! Mark and Trish were fantastic to deal with, replying quickly to any correspondence and providing lots of information about the chalet and the surrounding area. Their directions were also good with photographs showing turnings etc on the way to the chalet. The chalet was great for just the two of us but would be good for families as well, although maybe the upstairs bedroom is suited more to older children rather than small ones or adults as access is difficult. Having said that the provision of the sofa bed downstairs makes the chalet very flexible. All in all I would highly recommend this wonderful chalet as the perfect base for visiting the beautiful country of Slovenia.

Unser Aufenthalt in Biancas Chalet war rundum zufriedenstellend. Die Ausstattung ist komplett (gut, eine Geschirrspülmaschine wäre nicht schlecht gewesen) und die Kommunikation mit Bianca äußerst nett und unkompliziert. Die steilen Treppen sind nichts für Kleinkinder (steht ja auch in der Beschreibung), unsere (6 und fast 8 Jahre alt) kamen aber gut damit zurecht. Also volle Empfehlung! Vielen Dank Bianca!

Schönes Chalet in toller Lage mit tollem Blick auf Berg und Tal
Die Gastgeberin empfing uns sehr freundlich mit Obst und "Berliner" für Berliner. Sie gab uns Ausflugstipps. Velika Planina ist von hier aus gut zuerreichen. Die wunderschöne Umgebung lädt zum Wandern ein. Das Chalet ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Unsere Mahlzeiten auf der Terrasse haben wir sehr genossen.
