Beds were comfortable, A/C worked well, it was quiet. Staff nice. Plumbing issues in the bathroom need attention. No housekeeping service during our 6-night stay there. Very stingy with towels, TP, coffee. Had to ask for more.

Grounds outside were pretty unkept. Stay was quiet, room was clean , staff was very, very pleasant. Small swimming pool. No hot tub. Overall i would stay again. Security was great they had a gaurd posted all night watching parking lot.

Tired property
It wasn't what I was expecting from a HI Express. From the moment I parked I notice the grass area was not mowed or area maintained. Even the elevator doors were dirty as well as every hotel room door which had huge black scratches. The room bed was clean but the bathroom had mold in the tube and the wall behind the trash was splattered with food. Simple maintenance would have changed the whole look to this property.

Holiday Inn Express is better than this.
I've stayed at a lot of HEI hotels, and our experiences have always been great. So when traveling to KC for a few days this was the logical pick. Staff was very friendly and helpful. However, it is very run down and in rough shape. Lawn is overgrown and full of weeds, a number of places need paint, etc. When tyring to use the shower, the drain was clogged. Maintenance got it better, but still not great. Went to use the gym, to find it only consists of a treadmill and an eliptical. The treadmill was broken, and the person on the eliptical said they would be off soon. When done he went to get a sanitizing wipe, but that was not operational as well. I gave up on the gym. We went to a basemeball game and decided to take a shower about 10 pm. There was no hot water??? Our friends in another room noted the same experience. Overall the mgmt. does not seem too concerned with upkeep. A disappointing experience.

Very spacious room. Missing blow dryer in bathroom. Toilet is very low when one is used to a comfort style. Nice breakfast and excellent staff there and at the desk.

This was the most disgusting hotel i have ever stayed in. Everything is run down (doors, walls, bathtub, pool, carpet) the hallways have a horrible smell, and all of the bedding is damp. Even the room we were "upgraded" to was filthy. The only nice thing i have to say is their staff was friendly. I would sleep in my car before spending another dollar on this hotel.

Bad breakfast. Desk people have no care for my wife with knee surgery. Won't allow her to put ice bags in kitchen freezer. Fire alarm goes off at 5 AM because breakfast servers burn sausage. No credit or comp offered.

The location was great, less than 10 minutes to Arrowhead. The important part of the room seemed clean i.e. the beds and bathroom. The walls were majorly scuffed up (perhaps a darker color around the trim and lower half of walls), the carpet in the room was in pretty awful shape, and the a/c was leaking water on the carpet. The outside of the hotel appeared to be abandoned, overgrown weeds and a dead tree. The cherry on top was the fire alarm going off at 5:30am, which I understand happens but I can't help believe it might have been a maintenance issue.

Holiday In Express always offers nice rooms and friendly service. We reserved a room with 2 queen beds, i believe they were full size beds and not queen, so not as comfortable for 2 people.

Hotel had roaches and wouldnt give a refund when we paid over 450 for one nightt. Manager wouldnt return phone calls and corporate is just as worthless. IHG hotels are absolutely going down hill. I guess we are just out our money
