Nice historical property. Very convenient if you dont want to drive home after a show at the Uptown, but be aware that a sign in the lobby states that they will not rent you a room if you live within 75 miles of the property.

If you need a place to stay with multiple people, I recommend this hotel. Looks ot be a renovated apartment building turned hotel. We slept 6 people comfortably. There were 3 seperate rooms and a kitchen. Would like to see doors on the 2 bedrooms, but other than that it a good stay.

it did not appear quite as advertised, the room was way dingier than the photos showed they were. the area around the hotel felt a bit unsafe, especially at night. staff were nice, but i probably wouldn’t stay here again.

The hotel was nice enough and had some character, but nothing exceptional. Some of the staff was not rude, but they weren’t exactly friendly either while others were great. Rooms could definitely use an update. And in the restroom in our room, there was no way to plug the Bathtub to take an actual bath. The piece was completely missing With just about a one and a half inch deep hole for the drain until you got to crossbars that had hair caught in them. And unless you held the toilet handle down until everything was completely gone, it did not flush. If you just pushed the handle like you normally would do on the toilet. It did not flush at all no matter how little was in the bowl. Breakfast was so so. The eggs and sausage were good but The waffle batter took forever to come out of the dispenser and had an almost sour taste to it when made into a waffle. The milk that was available for dry cereal was sour, and there were biscuits with no gravy. They said it wasn’t that they were out. They just never had it which seems odd.

Good stay for an over night business trip. Front doors lock at 8pm, which is weird to me but it is what it is. Everything was clean in the room and the parts of the hotel I did see. Parking is a weird situation if the first lot is full. They tell you to park at the business next door, which is fine, but inconvenient. A/C works great, which is a HUGE plus. The street the hotel sits on is under construction so coming in and out of the property is a little iffy, but not impossible. Don't see a reason not to come back though!

When we got into our room, there was a huge stain on one of the queen beds. We decided to sleep in the other and when we got in the bed, there was a dead bug on one of the pillows.

Worst customer service ever!
Where do I even begin? I had tickets for a concert in KC and made the hotel reservation for Aug.1st back in March through Hotel.com. I've used them for 10+ years, no problem. When I scheduled, I opted to pay at hotel when checking in. I had reserved a room that was pet friendly. The morning of Aug. 1st my husband and I with our 2 Corgis we drove 4+ hours to KC. Arrived at the hotel by check-in 4 p.m. Once at the hotel I showed my reservation number. They tell me they have canceled the room. They said my cc didn't go through & tried calling me,which I know wasn't true 1. Because it is the card I use all the time 2. Since it was "pay at hotel" they wouldn't run the card until you arrived or if charge your card if you were a no-show. 3. There was no record of the hotel calling me. I received no apology, no offer to help me find another room. I called Hotel.com & they were shocked! My husband & I were not able to find another hotel that was pet friendly because everything was sold out. 3 hours later we were still looking for a hotel, plus the concert has started. We had no option but to drive home (4+ hour drive) and lost all the money on our tickets because it was too late to sell them. I would NEVER recommend this hotel. I believe they rented our room because due to the sold out concert, rooms were going for a lot more than the price it was originally reserved for. So I think they purposely canceled our room in order to get more money for it. They were very rude & uncaring.

Each room has only ony AC vent, and it's not in the bedroom. Very small bathroom and tub. Limited counter space in bathroom.
