The watermill was known as the location of the ZDF series "The Country Doctor". The newly furnished apartment is located on the ground floor of a historic watermill from 1844 and welcomes our holiday guests with their tasteful and comfortable furnishings in a cozy country house style. In the 4,500 square meter natural garden you will find the long-awaited break and rest from everyday life. Adjacent to the forest "watermill wood" scores the plot of the house with a particularly idyllic location: pure nature with wide fields, a mill stream and a large garden pond await you on the edge of the beautiful Schleistadt Kappeln.
Enjoy homely evenings with a nice glass of wine in front of the crackling stove or make yourself comfortable in the reading chair and help yourself to the small book collection. Wellness fans can look forward to the beautiful sauna of the apartment. The apartment is not only quiet, but also centrally located. In a few minutes walk to the city center of Kappeln, where many small shops, boutiques and various restaurants can be found.
The house plot offers a 4. 500 square meter, secluded garden with pond and several seats. On balmy summer evenings you can have a wonderful barbecue and during the day the garden furniture offers the ideal place for sunbathing. If the weather does not play along, the media facilities of the "Kleine Wassermühle" are sure to provide some variety, as there is a flat-screen TV with DVD player, a hi-fi music system, free Wi-Fi and a small collection of CDs and DVDs to disposal.
The "Little Watermill" became known through the TV series "The Country Doctor", because the house served as the filming location for the home of police officer Sven Olsen (actor Thorsten Nindel) in "Deekelsen".
Note: Due to the ceiling construction in this historic building, there may be footsteps from the upper apartment. The garden is for shared use and not completely fenced - therefore we recommend pet owners to bring a towline. The garden pond is not fenced but open to the public. Parents are responsible for their children. The apartment is located on the outskirts of Kappeln in the midst of the beautiful fishing landscape on the Mühlenbachsenke, just 500 meters from the Schlei. The area of the Mühlenbachske is located in the middle of the landscape conservation area: you look out over green meadows, sometimes deer pull through the garden or the heron makes a stop at the 500 m² garden pond of the property.
Despite the pleasantly quiet location, the city center of Kappeln with many small shops and dining facilities can be reached on foot in a few minutes.
