This beautiful traditional Dalmatian natural stone house recently (2013) was converted into a modern holiday house with a view of the sea and the beach promenade, with a private roof terrace and a grill area and an in-house fitness room.
Living space totalling is around 120 m² and it is situated right by the sea at the heart of the historical little coastal town Kastel Stari, along the sunny Adriatic coast of central Dalmatia.
The romantic old stone house from the year 1880 was recently carefully renovated and fitted with modern amenities for a comfortable stay, including air conditioning and wireless Internet access. The three-storey building consists of two halves of a house, connected by an internal terrace. One half has three bedrooms and a bathroom, the second comprises the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and a further bedroom and bathroom. It is therefore ideal accommodation for a group of friends or a family of up to eight people who would like to spend their holiday together, whilst still retaining some privacy. The ground floor of one half of the house has a red, glossy built-in kitchen with the latest appliances: a four-zone electric hob with an elegant stainless steel cooker hood, an electric stove, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment and a coffee machine. The dining room next to it has a wooden table with matching chairs and an open fireplace, enhancing the rustic stone house atmosphere and exuding homely warmth on cooler evenings. The living room above it in the first floor has a comfortable sofa and a trendy beanbag, satellite TV and a CD player. The top floor has a bedroom with a double bed (180 x 200cm). The half of the house next door consists of the three further bedrooms, one with a double bed (180 x 200cm) and the other two each with two single beds (90 x 200cm) that can be pushed together as double beds. The two halves of the house each have a colourfully tiled bathroom with a modern shower cubicle, a washbasin with a cupboard underneath and a wall mirror, a toilet and a washing machine. One also has a hairdryer. There is a convenient separate guest toilet by the internal terrace. Plenty of bed linen and towels are provided on arrival and wireless Internet access is included in the rental price.
The windows on the upper floors afford an extensive view over the sea. Up on your private roof terrace you can make yourselves comfortable on the sun loungers or at the table with chairs and enjoy leisurely holiday meals outdoors around the grill area.
As a little extra, there is a generously equipped fitness room on the ground floor, where you can exercise on the bench, fitness bikes, weights station and cross-trainer.
It is situated 3 metres from the sea. Between the house and the blue Adriatic there is only a promenade with bars and restaurants. Along the promenade there are shops, a supermarket and further cafes and restaurants. The airport is about 4 km away. The historical harbour town of Trogir is 9 km away and the multifaceted MedIterranean metropolis of Split with its famous Diocletian Palace (ca. 20 km) makes an interesting day trip.
