What had the potential to be a 5 star stay quickly turned into the worst accommodation we've ever experienced. Upon arrival we were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our villa. The first thing I noticed was how dirty the floors were, there were little brown spots all over the tile like it hadn't been mopped in ages. After seeing that, I checked the bathtub as we were on vacation and it was one of the reasons I had booked the room. The tub didn't look like it had been wiped down so I had to call reception to see if someone could come clean it so we could take a bath later. Not too long after, someone came around to clean it or so I thought. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier but after they left I checked the tub and it was in the exact same state, so I really have no idea what they did. We didn't have a bath the entire stay as on the 2nd night there were some kind of animal feces in it (took pics to send Expedia). Aside from the cleanliness or lack thereof, this property was missing many of the basic amenities that Expedia had listed such as WIFI (we were told it was under maintenance the first day, then after the "wifi guy" apparently came to fix it we were told it was working but it still wasn't) it didn't work the entire time we were there which made it very difficult to check in with family back home. I literally don't have enough space here to list everything that was wrong with our stay, I will be contacting Expedia and letting them know. BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!

The pool is awful. Looks dirty. Needs either good clean and or repainting. The restaurant does not serve beer so had to walk to another place for dinner so i could have a beer also. No fridge.very dangerous to walk No sidewalks and narrow road. In the middle of nowhere. Needs alot of tlc.

Very disappointing. Took 20 minutes to find someone for reception. Booked a room that was supposed to be 88 sq mtrs but it was 20. Girl at reception rude, manager rude. Girl said phones not working, but then answered the phone!!! Manager not willing to offer solution just told us to cancel. Won't go back there.

Grand Avenue was a fantastic find. I spent many hours researching for a one bedroom pool villa where I could relax and be away from the hustle and bustle of Seminyak and Legian. Grand Avenue ticked all the boxes. I had originally booked a room for 3 days and then a villa for 4 days. On arrival I was upgraded to the one bedroom pool villa for the whole of my stay. The staff were friendly and welcoming and always ready to help. The outdoor bathrooms are very spacious and the bedrooms are all air conditioned where you can lock yourselves away. I checked out most of the villas and they are all great. There is also a pool for use for all the people who just book a room and not a villa. The 2BR villa is very spacious if there a few of you. I will be booking in for next year. I have been to Bali five times and wanted a different location and Grand Avenue is just perfect for a relaxing holiday. I made use of the shuttle everyday to Seminyak and the staff were very accommodating as to where I could be dropped off. To top off my stay I was given a late checkout at no extra charge and was able to relax in my room until 8:30pm before my 11:00pm flight. This kind gesture was a perfect ending to a great holiday. Thank you to all the staff who made my holiday so fantastic. See you next year. Loved the breakfast too. I recommend the nasi goreng and papaya juice.

Disappointing stay at the Grand Avenue
So the picture that you see for the Grand Avenue show really modern rooms with nice beds and features. That was not the case for the room I received. I was booked in one of the deluxe rooms that faces the main road. These rooms were obviously not the ones that were in the pictures on the website. The room was pretty spartan with a hard bed (actually two beds pushed together) The bathroom was quite primitive and looked very old and not terribly clean. Also, the roof was leaking water right on top of the toliet when it rained so it made it unpleasant to use the bathroom. The Air conditioning was very weak and was barely able to keep the room from getting overwhelmingly humid. The staff there were very nice but weren't able to control the poor quality of the room I received. Also, the location is quite far away from many things - if you miss the shuttle, youll have to get a cab which is not that easy of that street because of its remoteness (can take 20-30 minutes for one to arrive when you call)

New hotel with brilliant hardware n staff attitude
It's a new hotel opened on 12th Dec 2014. As its a new hotel, operation was not mature, like no hair dryers, cooking utensils, etc in room. These were only available upon request... Yet staffs are so nice and helpful, trying their best to fulfill customers' requirements, though sometimes may be not familiar with the operation of the hotel. Overall the service is good, despite the distant location from center of Bali...
