Great stay in historic building.
Lovely room , and very spacious. Air con so temperature spot on , bit unexpected in such a historic building.staff were very helpful and swimming pool was nice and warm . All finished off by nice meal in the evening and a fabulous breakfast next morning. With all the history of the hotel with stunning grounds it makes the stay extra special .

Prefect Upon driving up to Rushton Hall you are greeted by the most superb picturesque property. The reception staff greeted us, Olivia showed us to our room and explained some of the History of Rushton Hall After we settled into our room we took ourselves to the one of the main drawing rooms to have a drink and some food. Although we originally booked for 1 night, we decided to book in for another. We end the day having a relaxing time at the spa. Who would of known about this little Gem of a Hotel 1.5 hours away from our home.

Amazing building and some great facilities. Unfortunately the food was below par for the price. My dinner was advertised as Tagliatelle but spaghetti delivered. When I point this out I received a weak apology both at the table and at checkout. The one totally unacceptable issue was a dirty, stained quilt cover, which I didnā€™t observe until the morning when I pulled it back. In my line of business when we make an error we do everything possible to compensate the customer. Apology, discount, reimbursement etc. whilst the reception staff apologised when I mentioned this there was no attempt to rectify. Only a statement that they would get this sorted for the next guest, which is great for them but doesnā€™t really compensate me. Unfortunately this seems to be the attitude at most hotels I stay at. You are asked if everything was ok, but if you state it was not an apology seems to be all that is on offer. Maybe an improvement in this policy might help differentiate in what is a competitive market.

The staff is the heart and soul of Rushton Hall
I had a very lovely stay for my birthday weekend. The place was very clean and inviting. The grounds were immaculate, perfect for an autumn evening stroll. The spa and pool were incredibly relaxing. However, there are always points for improvement. I believe some replacements could be made to the beds. I stayed in two separate rooms and found the mattresses a bit worn and the bed bases wobbly. The bathroom needed some safety improvements, such as handrails for stepping into a high bath. The shower screen was poor, causing water to go everywhere. Fortunately, the receptionist noted these points for improvement. The staff are the heart and soul of this place. They were so pleasant and helpful everywhere. I had such lovely and pleasant meal service from Eve and Shirley in particular. I will definitely visit again and have already been recommending the place to friends.

Everything about the property is first class. The only disappointing aspect was that the restaurant door and window were open during our evening meal which made it feel cold in the room. In addition my starter of tomato and chilli soup was lukewarm, but tasty.
