You can dock your boat right at the house! | | FEATURES: | | Two master suites with private bathrooms, queen size beds, linens, flat-screen TVs, Wi-Fi, and ceiling fans. | | Fully equipped modern kitchen, all new appliances, Corian sink and countertops with a counter-height table and chairs. | | Ten-foot sliding doors open out to the swimming pool that is heated for winter guests and chilled for summer guests. | | Pool incorporates a 5' depth with bench seating on two sides, the perfect place for enjoying a cool beverage. Flamingo Nook
We booked our stay after combing through dozens of places. This little gem was just what we needed. It was clean, fully equipped, has an adorable pool and a place to dock our boat. It’s also located in the middle of Marathon so it is close to everything. Buyer beware—it says it sleeps 4 people but that you can make special requests for extra guests. However, this property really only means 4 people. No exceptions.

Flamingo Nook Review - 27April2024
My wife and I along with another couple had a great week at Flamingo Nook and the KCB-Marathon area. Flamingo Nook was perfect for four people. Kitchen was well equipped, beds slept well, plenty of towels including beach towels. The staff at Key Colony Beach Realty were excellent to work with. Thanks to Casey and Tyler for answering my questions and communicating when we could get in, etc. The Cabana Club was a nice plus! Large pool, nice little beach, good bar for an adult beverage and excellent staff. The pool at Flamingo Nook was a great plus. It was nice to cool off and relax after an afternoon on the boat. Dockage is good with the tide slide mooring setup. Dock was big enough for a 21-foot boat with no problem. All in all, it was a very good vacation. We would stay at Flamingo Nook again.

The pictures do not do this place justice. The water is seriously out your door. We had a couple of concerns based off the reviews. The kitchen sink was replaced. Grill was brand new and had 2 new tanks of gas. Pool was clean. Great central location for day trips to Key West. Would definitely stay here again.

Absolutely Stunning!
When I booked this property, I was already hooked on the amenities. But then I got there it was more than I could ask for! My family (boys 10 and 7 + husband (I mean really 3 kids! Ha) and I enjoyed seeing the manatees, pelicans, herons, yellowtail snapper, mutten snapper, etc off the dock. To top it off swimming after a long day of being on the boat. It was amazing! We will be booking here again.

Everything was as described. I have rented in Key Colony multiple times and loved the location, the property, and the canal. Rental was clean and the kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots and pans. Had a little bit of an issue with the hospitality app that was used for check-in/communication not showing new messages but that is due to the app and/or my phone and I was very happy my call was answered on the weekend to help us check-in. Would definitely stay again!

Quiet and relaxing!
Beautiful place to stay. The private pool was a huge bonus for us, we were in it all day long. Enjoyed being on the canal and watching the boats, birds, and jellyfish. The house has everything you need. Nicely decorated, comfortable beds. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you!

What a great place to stay. We loved the pool and the sunset views. Everything worked out great for us and another couple. The only thing that bothered us was the grill. Prior to arrival I had inquired if propane would be there so we could use the grill. The rental company stated there should be propane. We used the grill one night then it ran out. I stopped by the rental office and asked how they filled the propane tanks. I was told I could fill up the propane tank myself. If you're providing a grill then propane ought to be included.

We had a wonderful time. The house was as pictured. We enjoyed the pool and the bicycles and the little putting course was enjoyable. Great places for eating and convenient for shopping. The key colony beach club was a nice addition to our entertainment. On the down side, a few things in the house need a little TLC. The kitchen faucet was almost falling off and difficult to use. The water in the kitchen never seemed to get warm enough, but there is a dishwasher so that helped. The pool was very dirty when we arrived and it was like that for 4 days until it was cleaned. Overall I would definitly go back.

Had a great trip and home was clean. Loved being able to keep boat at the dock and coming back every day and getting in the pool. Sitting in the back porch in the mornings drinking coffee and it was peaceful.

Miss it already!!
We just left after 2 months at this duplex. I actually did not know I rented a duplex because their was nothing in the description about that when I reserved it. I must admit that when we went to the house I was a little disappointed. However, it worked out great for us. The people on both sides of us were quiet & I believe they are owners. We rented a boat and the neighbor on the other side of our house didn’t like that our boat was past the fence so we moved it up. We totally cleaned the place after we got there. It does need a a good deep clean but we made it work. We would rent this duplex again. We did enjoy the small soak pool. This area was great for biking/walking & the Cabana Club was a plus.

Had ample room for our 2 couple vacation. Bedrooms were very comfortable and had nice bathrooms. House keeper is very meticulous and does an EXCELLENT JOB!!!!!! Pool and screened porch were extras that made the home very enjoyable. Owners thought of everything when stocking the house. I was impressed with all the parking room. You don’t find that very often in the Keys. Would love to stay here again. When visiting KEY COLONY.

We have stayed at this property several times before. The overall property was in better shape with the prior owner. Wear and tear was becoming noticable, cement and brick needed power washing, grout starting to deteriorate in tile, interior doors not closing properly, dishwasher door would not stay open, pots/pans mostly pans, and the grill was in horrible shape when we arrived (dirty, drip pan hanging loose and did not heat up). We reported this item to key colony beach realty 2X and nothing was done so could not use grill at all. Tyler told us after trip that the grill was supposed to have been replaced but it was not. The pool filter ran 24/7, so sleeping in the room next to filter was constantly noisy over and above the air conditioner. Overall, our stay was enjoyable and these are small things, but small things can add up over time if not fixed. The property should be maintained to the highest standard. Was told by Tyler that the property is booked pretty solid so there is not much time for repairs. That is no excuse. I hope this review helps this situation as the house/location deserves better.
