Room not clean. Badly stained carpet. Cheap dated furniture. No fan. No place to park or unload luggage as you check in. Bathroom is utilitarian for accessibility—could live with that if the toilet flushed. No room safe.

This hotel was in a great location to everything we wanted to walk to. The front desk were very friendly and kind. However, the cleanliness was lacking. Upon entering the hotel the front carpet was filthy looking with stains. The halls to the rooms were very run down. Whatever cleaning product they used was so strong it almost gave me a headache. I definitely think this hotel needs to be renovated and was not priced appropriately.

We spent our first two nights in Ireland at Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel after our arrival in Dublin. It was an easy drive from the airport. There is free/validated parking across the street. The hotel was centrally located to everything Kilkenny, and the surrounding area, has to offer. The hotel itself was very clean, updated, and comfortable. The breakfast offering offered everything you could want and was delicious. We ate dinner in the restaurant and found the menu selection to be varied and the food to be very good. The entire staff were welcoming, helpful, cheerful, and very willing to offer help which made our stay wonderful.

Couldn't beat the location! Just a couple minutes walk to Kilkenny castle and all the restaurants and shops you'll want to visit. Don't miss the Smithwicks Experience, we enjoyed it more than the Guinness Storehouse!
