The Area
Owl’s Hoot is fabulously located in the heart of the village of Snettisham. The village sits on the North Norfolk coast 10 miles from Kings Lynn and 5 miles from Hunstanton.
It is a short 5 minute drive to the beach and well renowned RSPB reserve famed for its migrating birds, murmurations and flocks of Pink Footed Geese.
The village itself boasts 2 excellent pubs including The Victoria and The Rose and Crown (UK Pub Of The Year 2015) and the award winning Old Bank restaurant (voted UK's Best Local Restaurant in the prestigious Good Food Guide 2019) which is a relaxed and friendly place to enjoy some delicious food. There are also boutique shops including an antique book shop, art gallery and arts and crafts shop. Basic amenities are offered by a decent sized CO-OP.
On the edge of the village is Farm Park which is a working farm open to the public and provides opportunities to feed the animals including its herd of Red Deer on a famed Deer Safari.
A 5 minute drive inland brings you to the Queen’s country estate at Sandringham. Open 7 days a week there are acres of beautiful gardens to explore while the Museum houses extraordinary collections of Royal vehicles, rare ceramics, photographs and memorabilia. The 240 hectares of forest and parkland on the estate is also open to the public and is free of charge to roam.
If there is still time after all of this then Owl’s Hoot will be the perfect base to explore further afield along the coast that boasts fantastic white sand beaches or inland to explore magnificent stately homes and nature reserves.
