You are just 45 minutes from Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, a sacred site of native Americans. You are one hour from Fredericksburg, where you can find unique shopping along with wine tasting in the area now known as the "Napa Valley" of the Texas Hill Country. Just down the road from Fredericksburg is Luckenbach, made famous in the song sung by Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings. We absolutely love this place. House was spotless and had everything we need. We fished for 3 days and loved that we could walk down to the lake. Kids had a blast swimming and fishing. We will definitely be staying here again.

This place is a great place-it has all of the modern comforts (Especially great water pressure and comfy bedding and mattresses)…but it takes you back to a place that was the Hill country, before it became so well-known and crowded. Gorgeous oaks overhang the road, quiet street full of rolling green lawns down to the cove. Super experience and would stay again!

This was the best experience yet. Owner friendly and answered any questions we had. Neighborhood nice and quiet with screened in porch totally made stress of city life vanish away. You could not ask for a nicer cleaner rental. We will be back!!

We stayed here for 3 days, upon arrival Will came over and introduced himself and maked us feel welcomed. He showed us around the house and the lake. Place was spotless and had everything we needed! Lake was beautiful, had a amazing time swimming and fishing but no luck on fish. We also used the canoe which was great and fun! Would definitely give this 10 stars if I could! Thanks Will for the amazing place!

Spring in the hills!

So I have been staying here at this property for a while now off and on... I can't recommend this little treasure enough! Plenty to do with the kids both young and old from fishing to hiking, to kiyaking, paddle boat... Etc... The people in what the neighborhood refers to as " Little Mayberry" are the best part of little granny's! Highly recommend a stay here with Will and Deb Gilliam! Clayton
