Brand new timber frame home features 3 bedroom, 3 bath with separate 1 bedroom/bath guest cottage/music studio. Soaring great room with Steinway grand piano and massive stone fireplace evokes a bygone era. Reclaimed wood and rich furnishings create a warm palate of colors and textures. Country modern chef's kitchen. Stone deck with hot tub and firepit, all with mountain views. Additional 4-season porch features wood stove, wet bar and TV. Total privacy on 18 acres with no neighbors in sight. All 5 star reviews on Airbnb starting with first rental in October 2019.

The space
Great room with enormous timbers and massive stone fireplace creates a sense of drama. Handpicked, colorful furnishings and art complement the space and make for the perfect group reunion or a private retreat. The room features floor-standing Focal speakers and Bryston sound system for critical listening sessions, or 60" flatscreen and virtual surround sound for movie nights. The Steinway, library and curated DVD / Blu-ray collection are all for your use. Radiant heat with auxiliary units will keep you toasty in the winter, while A/C throughout will make your summer stays comfortable.

Fully outfitted kitchen has everything you will need to entertain an intimate 2 or a hungry dozen. Custom kitchen for the chefs and enormous farm table for 10. Or eat al fresco on the deck with ample table-space and additional seating.

Mix a drink (or 3) at the wet bar on the 4 season porch with radiant heat and woodstove, fire up the TV, take in the views, or just tuck into a book lounging on built-in seating. Screens in summer and fully enclosed in winter for year-round comfort.

Wind down your day on the stone patio with the hot tub and fire pit. Watch the light (sun or moon) play off Overlook Mountain on the horizon. Set your mood with additional outdoor speakers.

The Cottage / Music Studio. Cottage includes a well-equipped practice space / music studio with Pearl drums, Access Virus synth, Casio electric piano, guitar / bass amps, simple Yamaha mixer, powered PA monitors. Space heated by wood stove and aux baseboard as required. A/C in the summer.

Bedrooms. 4 bedrooms in total between the 2 buildings. Additional bedding is sleeper sofa in cottage and inflatable queen for use in main house or cottage. All bedrooms equipped with black-out drapes/shades perfect for sleeping in. Sonos speakers in all bedrooms and TV in master loft BR.

Total end of road privacy with spectacular views make for the ultimate retreat.

Guest access
Entire property is for guests’ sole use, whether using the cottage / studio or not. Cottage is never rented or occupied separately. Note property IS available for larger groups and special events upon request.

The house was impeccably designed and had everything visitors would need. And the view off the front porch was beautiful. It was truly impressive and very relaxing. One small suggestion would be to make the address at the gate more obvious, instead of having it on a tree next to the gate.

We were a group of 5 adult family members having a family reunion. We enjoyed being in this beautiful setting in the midst of a large natural property including a meadow, pond, wetlands and woods. The house is very comfortable and well equipped, with beautiful and fun decor. It's close to many quaint towns and interesting cultural attractions. The owner was very prompt and helpful in his communications. We highly recommend this house!

A great house in a beautiful setting.House was very comfortable, great conversation areas,each bedroom has a full bath. Deck overlooks the mountains and the meadow in front of the house. Great AC in each room.Quiet and isolated location. Would book again!

Huge property, wonderful view, and stargazing in the hot tub was great. Located just a short ride to Woodstock, restaurants, grocery store, etc. House was clean and well stocked. We were a party of 9 and everyone had a wonderful time. Would definitely come back again.

Steve’s home is amazing, well maintained and chock full of cool extras that he’s gracious enough to share with guests. One of my sons played the baby grand in the living room every day. Steve’s CD collection really brought me back and there are some gems I haven’t thought to listen to in a long time. The house is sufficiently remote to seem like you’re “off the grid” yet a quick ride to Woodstock or Saugerties. Steve’s communication was great including instructions for all the appliances, stereo, etc. This was a great family get away!

Great time
A wonderful time and everything we wanted when we booked the rental. The jam space was incredible and so nice to have it separate from the main house. The views were spectacular, no other way to describe it. The Hi-Fi stereo was was the cleanest sound I have heard outside of actually being in a studio. The entire crew enjoyed our stay and can't wait for our return visit. If you love playing and listening to music, this is a must.

Stunning Property
The house and property are as beautiful in person as in the photos. Stephen replied to my questions with lightening speed. One note is that the property is a little tricky to find since the house is off the main road (but the location is part of what makes it great) so I suggest arriving before dark. If you’re lucky you’ll spot deer as you arrive like we did!

Woodstock Fall Trip
Location is central but also secluded which makes for fun experience in the mountains but close to downtown. Views all hours of the day are amazing - best i've seen at any rental in area and I've been renting homes around there for well over 10 years. Nice having bathrooms for each bedroom. My group and I loved the different fireplaces across the property. Guest house made for part of a fun night with music....honestly just great time all around and perfect vacation spot. I've never seen such clear night skies and if anything was of question, Stephen gave responses extremely quickly. Much appreciated.

Property is absolutely beautiful! The views from the deck are gorgeous. The pictures almost don’t do it justice. Only thing I would note is the driveway is tricky so I would advise to have an SUV or vehicle that does well in loose gravel. Host was great at helping us quickly with any issues we had.

Fabulous house in peaceful setting
Beautiful house, well stocked. Sitting on the patio overlooking the mountain and watching the wildlife was very peaceful. House is remote but close enough to enjoy Ashoka Rail trail and Kaaterskill Falls. Kitchen was a delight to cook in. Grand piano was played everyday by my daughter-in-law and the sound was amazing. We highly recommend this house.

The house is beautiful and extremely well equipped. Great mountain view out the big windows and the hot tub was delightful. The piano was a nice touch as my parter enjoyed playing. Steve responded immediately to our one concern (small matter of settings on the hot tub - corrected quickly). We would definitely stay here again!

The home is beautiful and really well configured. We had plenty of space for everyone to have privacy and time alone. Location is very close to lots of great hikes. Our 2 &4 year old grandsons loved riding their bikes on the long private driveway. Gorgeous views and sunsets in the evening.

Driving up each time provides a stunning view of the large property and home. All of the furniture is incredibly comfortable and unique. The amenities in the home will make you never want to leave. Not to mention the home is only 8 minutes from downtown Woodstock.

Beautiful home and spectacular view!
Three generations of my family had a wonderful stay at this property. As soon as we pulled into the driveway we were impressed and were delighted when we walked into the house. The hot tub was sparkling clean and it was a real joy looking out over the mountains. There was ample room for the six of us to spread out and the musician in the family really enjoyed the studio. Only minor change that could be made would be new pillows. We hated to leave and highly recommend this spectacular spot of the beautiful Catskills.

A Special Place
Lovely house and view of Overlook Mountain. Very peaceful and quiet. The house is well suited for family groups who like to be together. Great open space for kitchen, living room, eat in kitchen. High end bathrooms with lovely tiles throughout. Great cooks kitchen. Blue stone deck and view of Overlook Mountain is stunning. Very relaxing. Closer to Woodstock than Suagerties but half hour from great trails/hiking. Enjoyed jacuzzi. Note that home does not come with use of washer/drier. Owner is very easy to reach and responsive. Love to return to this property. I don't say this often...
