This quaint Inn is so close to downtown Kingston but far away enough to enjoy quiet. The staff is very kind and the place is clean and cozy

The house is lovely. Great neighbourhood. Close walk to the shops and bars or the waterfront. Parking was a bit challenging. Staff super friendly and helpful. Really good continental breakfast.

The Inn is stunning. A Victorian charmer. As an older home, the rooms are all distinct so my review applies exclusively to the room we were in and the general hotel amenities. We stayed in the «  cottage ». The room was tiny, but very clean and comfortable and we were only there for a night. We were right by an exit, so we heard everyone come and go. Reception was efficient and welcoming, and escorted us to our room. Self- serve breakfast was included and was excellent - lots of choice. Nice sounding hot breakfast for a small fee, but we had plenty to eat and didn’t order it. Unless I missed a special entrance, the inn is not accessible. Lots of stairs and levels, understandable considering the age of the building. Parking around back. Student neighbourhood within a 10 minute walk of downtown. Would stay again but not in the same room.

This is a heritage property with lots of charm, tall ceilings, comfy beds, & easy-going charm. Young staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and in our case got the TV quickly working in our room. Continental breakfast is well thought out and healthy even for a diabetic. Close to great dining restaurants & shops. Will definitely come back & would recommend to others.

Beautiful house but our room was terrible we can hear every thing from reception (and that is where breakfast was). No sleeping. To hard to change room. A credit for this would have been nice The old charm was great but the chain hotels handle problems better.

Cute little room at a good price. Excellent personalized service. The continental breakfast was very good, and a friend commented that it was the best “hotel coffee” they’ve ever had. Little things that made it especially nice. Parking area was small but there’s a large public parking lot right across the street (free on weekends, not sure about M-F.) Note parking is at the rear of the hotel and the GPS takes you to the front where there is limited street parking.

There was a good breakfast selection. It was a warm day so we wanted to open the window but there was a lot of noise all night: people talking loud, banging bottles and cans and early morning garbage trucks. There was only hand soap for the shower, no bar soap or shampoo was available.

This is the second time that I have stayed at this Inn. It is so beautiful and the staff and incredibly helpful. They have a wonderful continental breakfast in the morning and the beds are super comfortable. It is within walking distance of Queen's university which is why I visit- to see my daughter who is a student there.

There are only 9 parking spots for 20 rooms. There is city parking behind the Inn, but with a 3 hr. limit during the day, at a cost of course. All street parking in the area is also 3 hr. limit. I booked for 2 nights, scheduled for day surgery on the second day. I parked in the city lot the first night, then needed to leave my vehicle for the day. The staff member at the desk was rude and dismissive of my problem, suggesting I find parking elsewhere. While on site parking in an historical Inn may be limited, it is inconceivable that an offsite arrangement is not provided. Why should any traveller face that uncertainty? I will never stay there again, and advise others accordingly.

Es un hotel alejado del centro, lo que le da tranquilidad. Los personales muy amable. Las instalaciones ya están muy desgastadas y requiere remodelaciones. El aire acondicionado es uno portátil que ocasiona mucho ruido y no te deja descansar. Tiene las ventanas bloqueadas por lo que tampoco te permite abrirla así que necesitas soportar el ruido del aire acondicionado.

Lovely Inn, which is walkable to downtown. Had dinner at Milestones; terrible service & cold food. Starbucks has no tables and chairs which is weird. But there are some other great coffee shops & bakeries to have dessert & coffee in.

Hochelaga Inn is an old, traditional building from 1800-something. I understand that many people book this Inn for that reason, including ourselves. It creaks and squeaks on all sides, part of the charm. Friendly staff, but the room was too dirty. The carpet was so filthy, it looked like it was from 1800-something. The bathroom was also not cleaned, stains from the previous tenants, and hair on the wall. There is coffee, tea and water available 24 hours a day, and a simple breakfast is included. There was a mobile air conditioner in the room, very pleasant with 25C+ outside temperatures.

We enjoyed the lived-in atmosphere and the easy 1km walk to downtown restaurants. Unfortunately, the beautiful breakfasts once served at the Hochelaga are now an additional cost.
