This hotel was clean but very basic. The breakfast was very simple and barely warm. The pancakes come out of a machine. For the price at nearly $400 a night it was disappointing. The staff are friendly and the hotel is clean.

First, this property is not located 5 km from the conservation area, but 10 km. I booked through Expedia for two adults and two kids (11 and 12 years old). Upon arrival, there was only one king bed. The reception said there was no information about the kids in the reservation, and I had to pay $20 extra to have the kids. They brought a bed for my son, and the next morning, when I showed the booking confirmation for 4 people, they said I should have used the sofa bed and assembled it myself and that I was going to be charged for the extra bed, which I did not ask for. The reception and manager were rude and defensive, refusing to take responsibility. They only waived the $20 fee after a long discussion. Additionally, the shower's hot water faucet was twisted, preventing the hot water from turning on. The receptionist couldn't identify the problem, which was just a misplaced blue/red dot. They offered to move me to a room next to the reception which was very noisy. Fortunately, I figured out the faucet issue myself and stayed in my room. They never apologized for any of the inconvenience and blamed on me for "creating a problem where there wasn't".

My son and I were on a 5-day bike tour in the area and stayed here for a night. After paying, we were told that we couldn't take our bikes to our rooms. I have traveled with bikes all over the world and this was the first hotel that didn't allow this. The bikes were not wet or muddy, but we were told we could leave our bikes in a room next to the office. This was completely inconvenient and unnecessary and they couldn't provide a reasonable explanation of why we couldn't take our bikes up. I even offered for them to keep the $150 security deposit if they were worried about cleanliness (isn't that what it's for?). In the end, we left our bikes downstairs but I was anxious all night so it made for a not very relaxing stay. Why would a hotel take on the liability of thousands of dollars of bikes, plus treat a guest inhospitably in the process? Just bad business sense. There is nothing in their policies about taking bikes to rooms, plus the rooms were very outdated with carpet stains and stains on the bed skirts, so I'm confused with their choices. Not a very welcoming place.

Shower floor was extremely slippery, water quality was poor specific to pressure. Iron was horrible, ironing board was broken x2. Room was clean and spacious. Room fridge was great. Complimentary breakfast was average. I wouldn’t rebook here. It was overpriced considering it has no pool and struggled to see the “plus” side of the hotel!

Hotel has gone downhill
Bathroom faucet held in place by silicone caulking. Water pressure in shower was abysmal. No hot chocolate mix for non coffee drinkers. Wet bath towel taken out of bathroom left on freshly made bed and not replaced with a clean one in the bathroom.
