Secluded beach on island north of Koh Lanta
The nature that this guesthouse sits on is epically beautiful. There were many different rooms and camping options, and we got the higher end upstairs room, which was really really nice. You are right on a private beach with lots of rock formations to walk around and gorgeous sunsets to enjoy. If you are looking to be in a secluded space away from really any kind of city or “action” this is a sweet romantic spot.
It feels important to share that this guesthouse is not in Koh Lanta. Since Koh Lanta was in the name, we assumed it was and didn’t do our research to find it’s actually on the island north of Koh Lanta! When we landed at the pier in Koh Lanta (Sala Dan), it was shocking to find that we were an hour away, and on a completely different island north of Koh Lanta. You have to take a taxi to the Hua Hin pier and then you can ask the hotel to hire you a taxi from the end of the pier (if you are not renting a car/motorbike). The lowest price we were able to find from the Sala Dan pier in Koh Lanta to the guesthouse was 1500 baht (one way) - We talked them down from 3000.
There isn’t access to much when you’re on the land, so be sure to pack food and snacks. There is a restaurant, but the menu was very limited (especially for vegetarians/vegans). We were grateful that they accommodated for us. Breakfast is included, which feels important since the resort is so far away from anything.
