Great place, location, very clean and service was really good. The only reason I don’t add 5 stars was because of the 3 laundry machines, 2 were out of service and since they are electric washing machines I needed to wait 2 hours for the only available one to use it.

This place was an oasis for us after staying at an APA hotel in Tokyo. As American tourists we thought APA would be fine (it wasn't) so by the time we left Tokyo we were really hoping for a REAL hotel. And we got one in this Hyatt. It felt much higher end than we paid for it. Seriously, it's very nice inside and the room is spacious. Amenities were great and staff was super friendly. My in-laws are visiting Kyoto in September and we told them they have to stay at the Hyatt Place because of the price and how great it was overall. If I'd stayed here and didn't know the price, I probably would've expected it to be around 1.5-2x what I paid per night just based off of my travel experience in the US, Europe and including what we paid in Tokyo at APA (which I felt very ripped off). Stay here! You won't regret it!

This hotel is brand new with modern facilities and plenty amenities. The bedding and towels are very clean. The room is good & comfortable. The breakfast has many choices both American & Japanese. Subway is next to hotel as you come out of lobby so easy to go to tourist spots. Overall I will stay here again and will recommend to all my friends. Staff was very helpful to store luggage and lend umbrella.

It was easy to access directly from Subway Exit #6. If you are carrying luggage I suggest using exit #5 where the elevator is located. You only have to cross the street and go a little down the block to reach the hotel. It is a very nice setting with friendly and accommodating staff. Very clean and well stocked. Laundry facilities are available and well used so plan your laundry so you can catch an empty machine. 😂 Breakfast is a buffet and has several options but it would be nice to see some variety with changes during the week on some of the main options. Additionally, it would be nice if the restaurant offered some options other than breakfast only. For our needs/sightseeing adventures it was the perfect location for access to transportation. Walking distance to two amazing sights but also the access to the subway and major bus routes a block or so away. We would happily rebook this hotel for future stays!
