property did not show parking charges anywhere on their website and it was $42 per day. also we assumed the bicycles shown in the photos would be part of the resort fee since many hotels provise bikes for use. there was a charge for those as well. staff was very nice and location was excellent.

I think the prices were very high for the place. Folgers coffee in the room at 500 a night I couldn't believe it., there was some young staff that had a lot of attitude and not very helpful. The facility is very old and feels kind of rundown. It needs to definitely remodeling the furniture looked ghetto:( . You just looked really tired. I had an ocean view which was great, except there was a kayak rental right in front of the property, and on top of that there were bars on the balcony. I couldn't even see the view unless I was standing. And the ocean had seaweed all over it and lots of traffic didn't look like clean sand. The ocean was beautiful, but I didn't think so great. And this is La Jolla. The boardwalk looked totally rundown. It looks like something out of the 70s and I thought La Jolla is one of the most exclusive areas in the world and this is how they treat it. And I read great reviews of the property and I have to say I am so disappointed. I would not recommend this property and I would not stay here again. There were a few staff members that were friendly so I don't want to say all the staff members weren't friendly, but there was a couple at the front reservation desk and they were younger and they did. They seem like they had a lot of attitude. I asked him a few simple questions they didn't seem to know anything about the area about restaurants or anything and just lots of attitude. buyer beware., And obviously 200 a night was for the ocean view:(

Had a great stay! Older hotel, not super modern. But everything was clean, and comfortable and looked nice! Location was perfect! In more of a residential area instead of hotel central! This made it feel more private! The main strip with shops, restaurants, etc was just around the corner! So easy to walk to! There is a public parking lot close, so beach can get busy-ish but never seemed over crowded after Labor Day when we were there!
