If you are looking for a peaceful place by the sea to spend a healthy and rejuvenating holiday and you are nostalgic for the Mediterranean of the 1950s, you will fall in love with L'anse de Fabregas!
It is a small Mediterranean Eden with its atypical gray sand beach, surrounded by red rocks and a few "points", opposite the rocks "the 2 brothers" (classified as one of the most beautiful sites in the Mediterranean!), it is located at the foot of the Janas forest massif, protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral, which has been unbuildable for a long time and therefore very well preserved! Fabregas is a rare place these days!
My house is a charming Provençal Mas of more than 140 m2 nicely decorated, on a raised ground of more than 600 m2. It is located exactly 71 m from the beach, 30 seconds on foot! It is very quiet because only accessible by a private road protected by a barrier where only the rare inhabitants of the massif can drive through. Beautiful Mediterranean trees frame the property, in the evening while having an aperitif on the terrace, you can hear the backwash of the waves .... In a revisited Provencal style, the property offers a small mosaic swimming pool with its teak deckchairs for sunbathe! A real fully equipped outdoor kitchen, with a plancha, allows you to cook outside while enjoying the outdoor warmth. Under the high meadow, there is a pleasant teak summer dining room, and on the large terrace, an outdoor living room protected from the sun by two large parasols, an outdoor shower and outdoor Vc complete the set. Inside the house, there are two beautiful comfortable bedrooms: a master suite which has its dressing room and its complete bathroom with shower, bath and toilet, another beautiful bedroom has large closets, a small shower room and toilet. The rooms are equipped with top-of-the-range 180x200 beds and quality white linen. A 3rd extra bedroom is possible in the living room on the mezzanine with a 140x200 bed, This is the TV lounge, be careful it is not a real bedroom because it is open to the rest of the house.
The house is very comfortable and nicely appointed. It offers a high ceiling thanks to these 3 half-levels, a kitchen and a Provençal dining room are on the intermediate level with a small terrace on one level ideal for having breakfast facing the sea, a Provençal living room very cozy with fireplace is located on the ground floor. I completely repainted the house recently, every year I make new improvements! The thickness of the walls makes it a rather cool house in summer if you leave the shutters of the rooms barely open to prevent the sun from entering too much.
There is no shops in Fabregas, just the best fish restaurant in the region called chez Daniel et Julia where you can taste wonderful Provençal dishes on their splendid balustraded terrace facing the beach, we recommend their famous Sunday morning shellfish brunch! There is also a delicious beach hut by the water where you will find daily specials at very reasonable prices, everything is homemade, it's good and the setting is super nice! There is also a delicious, truly Italian pizzeria and voila! For greengrocers, I advise you to go to Bruno Oberti, the local farmer who sells his production of organic fruits and vegetables on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings, 500 m from the entrance to Fabregas, he also hosts sometimes an organic caterer and a local fisherman, a poulterer, a merchant of cheese and organic goat's milk ice cream: a delight! I recommend the aloe vera ice cream, it's very original and you will surprise your guests! .... it's a pleasure to shop directly on the farm with top quality organic products and with local producers who share their passion with you!
otherwise for the rest of your purchases, you can take your car and go shopping at Mar Vivo 5/7 mm by car where you will find excellent food shops and all the amenities....
In Fabregas, there are many activities to do: of course swimming and hiking on the seaside, but you can also learn to surf, go scuba diving... Along the ledge on the right looking at the sea, you can go swimming at Verne, a magnificent pebble beach with crystal clear water, or the next one, La Vernette, each as timeless as the other, they are relatively uncrowded because they are only known to the regular clients! On the other side of Fabregas, you will have to put on your sneakers and go in search of the small coastal paths which allow access to completely wild beaches, including one reserved for naturists, otherwise you will
