TO RENT GITE WITH SPA NEAR DINAN ST MALO COTE D EMERAUDE

Our cottage is located in the town of VicomtƩ sur Rance in an old Breton house (1791) completely renovated.
From this old fishing village, you can discover the rancid edges (hiking trail at the bottom of the house), the medieval city of Dinan or the corsair city of Saint Malo.
Many other wonders like Cancale, Dinard, the Emerald Coast or Mont Saint Michel are just minutes away.

Quietly, our 4-person gƮte is made up of three rooms with an enclosed garden offering a very beautiful view of a green landscape suggesting the rancid. The staircase is of period, like the visible beams.

On the ground floor is a fitted kitchen
(oven, dishwasher, fridge, induction hob, microwave) as well as a small dining area + 1 terrace.

On the 1st floor, fully renovated bathroom with a washing machine and a living room with exposed beams, flat screen TV, and sofa bed for 2 people

On the second floor, a spacious bedroom with a double bed (140)

A WIFI connection is installed in the cottage
Outdoor equipment: barbecue, garden furniture, deckchairs ...

The SPA is accessible every day from 10h to 20h and is shared just with the owners.

It is a typical gƮte on the banks of the Rance with irregular stairs, not standardized with one room per level. We can see that they were cut directly from the trunk of the trees, as were the beams.

I booked this cottage due to hot tub. This was in owners garden next door. Not private, as you would expect. Also no towels and bed linen provided, so had to buy them. Asked owner and he reluctantly provided bedding on the Monday. He stated this is how we do it in France. Shocked by his attitude on departure, he held our deposit to ransom until we cleaned the cottage to his satisfaction. Also my partner and I got bed bug bites, at least 6 new every day. He stated he had never had any problems before. I stayed in 2 other properties since and all bedding towels toilet roll, provided. Wifi was poor and the steep narrow wooden stairs may cause problems for some. Owner did the bare minimum, front garden is not private as is connected to his front garden. Great back garden and location though, a few positives

Very relaxing stay in beautiful surroundings
The three of us (me, wife and Daisy the dog) stayed here for a week. The weather, which had been forecast to be mainly rain and cool, turned out to be wonderful, with warm sun practically every day except the first (we overnighted in Honfleur - the rain drove us away). The Gite is quirky, with a narrow spiral wooden staircase, which might cause problems with anyone with mobility problems, but otherwise very comfortable. The bed was fine, the sofa relaxing and everything was supplied in the kitchen. The internet speed was superb as well. There were excellent dog walks from the front door in this tiny hamlet, and Lyvet is about a 20 minute walk away with two restaurants and bars. We used the spa a couple of times while the owner was away (36 deg) and otherwise occupied ourselves with reading in the garden and visits to St Malo, Dinard and best of all, Dinan, which is walkable from the west bank of the Rance. The TV has only French channels, but if you need your fix of Gardener's World, subscribe to any of the UK sites offering free TV on your laptop. Altogether a lovely stay - many thanks to Pascal, Emmanuelle and, of course, Dominique!

A delightful relaxing time, the Gite is very well equipped, wonderfully quirky and positioned in a quiet road outside the town! The owner Pascal and his wife were very friendly and accommodating and having the use of the Jaccuzi a great bonus! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend 10/10

Les propriĆ©taires sont trĆØs sympas et acceuillant. Un magnifique chemin cyclable tout proche vous emmĆØnera le long de la Rance jusqu'Ć  Dinan. SituĆ© entre St Malo, Dinan et Dinard. Le SPA est bien agrĆ©able aprĆØs une journĆ©e de visite ou de vĆ©lo bien remplie.

Nous avons passĆ© une excellente semaine dans ce gĆ®te cosy, situĆ© Ć  quelques minutes Ć  pied des bords de Rance... Cette petite maison sur 3 Ć©tages est trĆØs bien amĆ©nagĆ©e et parfaite pour un sĆ©jour au calme. Le propriĆ©taire nous a accueilli avec beaucoup de gentillesse et de souplesse et est restĆ© Ć  notre Ć©coute tout le long de notre sĆ©jour. Cerise sur le gĆ¢teau, le jacuzzi au fond du jardin Ć©tait parfait pour se dĆ©tendre aprĆØs une bonne journĆ©e de balade ! Encore merci Ć  Pascal pour son accueil.

Situation gƩographique parfaite
Le propriĆ©taire est trĆØs gentil mais peu prĆ©sent. Il a mis 2 jours a rĆ©pondre aux mails ou sms et les draps nā€™Ć©taient pas prĆ©sents lorsque nous sommes arrivĆ©s, ils ont Ć©tĆ© dĆ©posĆ© devant un peu plus tard, donc un peu dƩƧues que les lits ne soient pas fait Ć  notre arrivĆ©e comme dā€™habitude dans dā€™autres gĆ®tes. Il faut savoir aussi que le terrain est commun avec celui des propriĆ©taires avec une simple haie qui sĆ©pare donc un peu compliquĆ© pour le chien qui sort le soir faire ses besoins sans avoir peur quā€™il fasse devant chez eux. Il faut savoir aussi que le jacuzzi est sur leur partie de terrain devant chez eux, donc aucune intimitĆ© et non stipulĆ© dans lā€™annonce. Encore un point faible, trĆØs peu de prises et aucune multi prise, mais le propriĆ©taire nous en a prĆŖtĆ© 2. Dernier problĆØme, le premier soir lorsque nous avons voulu dĆ©plier le canapĆ© lit, il Ć©tait cassĆ© et notre fils a dormi avec le matelas au niveau de la tĆŖte qui remontait, un adulte ne peut pas dormir dedans, matelas trĆØs fin et une fois dĆ©pliĆ© on ne peu plus passer de lā€™autre cĆ“tĆ©, donc Ć  2 pas de possibilitĆ© de passer en pleine nuit, et le propriĆ©taire nā€™est venu que 2 jours aprĆØs pour voir le canapĆ© cassĆ©. Hormis tous ces points nĆ©gatifs ce gĆ®te nous a quand mĆŖme plu, mais il y a des ponts que nous aurions voulus connaĆ®tre avant. Point trĆØs positif la situation gĆ©ographique du gite est parfaite pour les visites de Dinan, Dinard, St Malo, le mont St Michel, Cancale, etc... plus juste Ć  cĆ“tĆ© de vraies randonnĆ©es trĆØs agrĆ©ables. Pour moi gĆ®te fait pour un couple sans enfant ou sans problĆØme de mobilitĆ© car escalier trĆØs biscornus.
