Hideaway Haven by the Lake is a cozy suite that offers a unique blend of comfort and serenity. Nestled in the heart of Lake Cowichan, guests enjoy picturesque views and immediate access to outdoor activities. The suite is thoughtfully furnished, and special touches like a welcome fruit bowl and a special gift for three or more night stays. We're family and pet-friendly, and our commitment to conscientious hosting ensures a memorable stay for everyone.
The space
Located in the heart of Lake Cowichan, our lovely guest suite offers a welcoming atmosphere. One bedroom, kitchen, laundry, living, and dining room, as well as your own private back patio.

This is a full basement suite. We live upstairs; a family of 4 with 2 young children and a dog. Entry through a shared entry way, to a fully separate suite with private amenities listed.

There is a queen sized bed in the bedroom, side tables, and room for clothing in the massive dresser.

The living room has seating for 4. One theater couch with cup holders. The other couch is a hide a bed.

The best part of our suite is the accessibility to your own private sauna and hot tub!
Guest access
Upon arrival, you will have a parking spot closest to the door. Kath will meet you at the door to show you to your suite. Either she will hand you the key or it will be on the table.

Great value
We were in town for a hockey tournament and stayed two nights. The place was well stocked with everything anyone would need. The kids enjoyed the hot tub. We didn’t get a chance to use the sauna, but it looked awesome! We would definitely stay again.

The owners were great, very friendly and quick to reply. The suite is very big and the couches were comfortable and the sauna is a great bonus. The suite was very clean. The issues were: The hottub was nice and hot but had a film on the surfaces, there iant a sink in the kitchen so diahes are done in the kaundry aink and the bed is really uncomfortable. You also access the suite by going through the entry to their home which feels intrusive (we had a late hockey game and i felt bad coming in). The driveway is a long way back from the road so you defineteky would only have space for a car and the details say a welcome fruit basket/gift for multiple nights but there wasn't one... which is totally fine as we had brought our own. I would recommend bringing your own frying pan as the one there is small and didn't work well... and the hide a bed is held together with packing tape...but confy according to my kiddo. I usually only leave great reviews and this one has some positivea like the size and cleanliness and the owners are really nice, it's just a know before you go kind of thing.

I enjoyed having access to a washer and drier as well as the sauna. It was a clean relaxing environment with an amazing set up and large fridge. It would be perfect for longer stays, I didn’t want to leave!

Wir waren für zwei Nächte dort. Die Wohnung ist nett und urig eingerichtet, auch wenn die Heizung des Hauses mit in der Wohnung ist. Das Schlafsofa ist bequem, das Bett auch. Die Wohnung befindet sich im Erdgeschoss von dem Haus der Vermieter. Die Kommunikation lief reibungslos ab. Jedoch ist die Wohnung eher was für Erwachsene ohne Kleinkinder geeignet. Die Lage ist sehr ruhig, zum See sind es aber auch noch paar Autominuten. Die Landschaft und Wanderwege vor Ort sind super.
