We had a very nice stay. I would have rated my stay as excellent, however the noise from the workers working on the building were very loud. At one point Two employees were on our balcony sanding the railing in the morning while we were still in bed. What would have happened if the drapes would have been open? This was very inappropriate.

It was a beautiful place to stay, our rooms were lovely, clean, quiet and had everything we needed for cooking etc. lol, I would recommend a soft spatula, but otherwise. :) We very much enjoyed the huge soaker tub, fireplace, and all the Grand Geneva amenities we could use. We plan to go back.

Great rooms but don't be fooled by pic of big pool
Loved the room and the balcony! Full-size fridge, oven, microwave, 12-cup coffee maker & even a dishwasher (and all the utensils). Also had a washer/dryer in the bathroom linen closet. Buildings are on the Grand Geneva property and you have access to all their amenities EXCEPT the big beautiful pool they show on the website. There is a pool available but not the same one in the picture. The big one is only accessible to guests of the main lodge.

Grounds are well maintained, but no nice walking paths (paved or well-maintained gravel) so I had to walk along road. I like having a kitchen and a living area. However, kitchen was very poorly equipped; steak knives, but no paring knife, no spatula (pancake flipper). Only one small bar of in unit when I arrived. Shower very slippery. Good news is that staff is very responsive and customer oriented. I requested additional soap, a skillet, rubber mat for shower and extra towels and all were delivered quickly. Kitchen faucet was not working properly and is was repaired quickly. I did not like layout of 1 bedroom unit with the entrance into the bedroom. Very annoying when housekeeping knocked on my neighbors door (right next to mine) five times after 10:30 pm while I was trying to sleep. I strongly suggest that staff members stay in the units for a week to get a feel for what their customers experience and make recommendations for improvement.

The hotel room was clean with a newly remodeled kitchen, large bathroom, and comfortable bed! The kitchen was well stocked with all the dishes and utensils that you might need. It was luxurious to stay at the Holiday Inn at the Grand. To get to the indoor pool you would need to take the trolley or drive which is rather inconvenient. There is only one small outdoor pool for 6 buildings. I loved the balcony, except that there were smokers in a nearby unit which took away from enjoying my coffee in the fresh air.

There was active construction going on directly outside our room. To the point we could not even get out of our room. We tried to open our door and it hit a ladder that a worker was at the top of. Unacceptable to not do this in stages and leave the sections being worked on unoccupied.

We was a bit upset that we had a delay in checking in, but the front desk manager ms. Barbara put everything back on track very swiftly.
