Stargaze cottage backs up to over 50 acres of bird & wildlife sanctuary. perfect blend of open space for stargazing, yard games, cooking out or relaxing; wooded lot on one side and wildflower patch on the other. great area for biking and the lake is just 1 street over. Doggy door to fenced area so you can enjoy the yard without them missing out on the fun. Screened in porch/eating area, covered porch, and fire pit as well. Hummingbirds, Eagles, and all sorts of wildlife in the area, but close enough to Clare, Gladwin, Cadillac, Harrison and Mt Pleasant to enjoy shopping and restaurants too. After a day of play, relax in the shower for 2 complete with bench seat to give your feet a rest! And the driveway is big enough to bring your toys if you are heading out to the many trails in the area. Snow snake ski resort and rocks and valleys ORV park is just 13 miles away. 2 adult size bikes, inflatable paddle boards, inflatable kayaks, corn hole, lounge chairs , park grill, hammock and private reading tee pee are just a few things available for your enjoyment.
Kitchen includes~coffee maker, French press, toaster, microwave, gas stove, oven, refrigerator,dishwasher…also full size washer and dryer.
Bathroom has a heated floor, shower for 2 with bench , Plenty of towels & wash clothes & storage areas for your convenience.

Beautiful piece of heaven!
This was our second visit to Laura and Danny's house in less than a year, we absolutely love it! We played badminton in the front yard, counted the frogs on the pond, and played card games in the screened in patio. It was just what our family needed to kick off summer vacation! Highly recommend staying here!

An awesome birthday weekend
If I wrote a full review of this listing we would all be here for a full day. So here's what was wrong. 1. Absolutely nothing! This cottage is amazing. The hosts, amazing. The area, amazing. They thought of everything you might need to have the best possible experience. The communication is very pleasant and clear, the area is peaceful and quiet. I have already sent the booking link to some friends and I plan on booking again within the next few months. If you can get a chance to book this cottage, don't hesitate, you will not find a better place to get away and forget about the world around you. All I can really say is "muah!" Chefs kiss and hats off! Every host should be like this!

AMAZING COTTAGE
We booked stargaze cottage as a getaway with one of our dogs for our anniversary. To say we were blown away would be an understatement. This property is INCREDIBLE! Clean, chic, welcoming, and fun! The owners are truly on this earth to show care and hospitality toward others. Every small detail you could think of had been planned for. Our border collie loved the property as well. We have already booked our second trip for this summer and plan to book for the fall as well!

Quiet Cottage with Nature
It was a great weekend at the Stargaze Cottage. The owners had everything set up so nicely. The place was extremely clean, and you can tell thought went into it all. Seeing the wild deer and turkey in the backyard was great. It was so relaxing and we hope to be back in the near future.

Perfect
Laura and Danny should be considered hosts of the century. Communication was easy and perfect. They were so generous with our stay. We arrived to snacks and a toy for our dog Penny! The house is amazing and so cozy. It was great to be able to bring our dog and not worry what the hosts think, they are super dog friendly. The house is as described and more. The big shower and heated bathroom floor was great. I was also excited to find a perfect cast iron pan to cook with. We’ve rented a lot of get aways and usually the cast iron is not so perfect. We normally stay off grid but this time we were still looking for quiet but didn’t need the solitude, while in a neighborhood, you feel like there are no neighbors, it was super quiet. We got to see deer every morning and night, some even visited us while we were having a camp fire. It was a great long weekend get away and will definitely consider coming back.

Hidden gem
What a special place. It was a perfect cabin away from the city. Very clean. Hiking trails near by, quiet, and fires at night, also the heated bathroom floors were a hit. Couldn’t ask for more. To be honest, the owners are just as special. We forgot an item and they graciously shipped it back to us. Our pup loved the land as well. We will be back. Thank you again!

An amazing stay at a quiet dog friendly cottage
Our stay at this cottage was an 11/10 and exceeded our expectations. This was the perfect cabin getaway in the woods, the living room had a small indoor fireplace that kept us nice and toasty during the snow storm along with a heater massage chair. The host left us with a welcome basket full of snacks, a toy for our pups, and a list of all information we needed during our stay, which made us felt very welcome!! This cottage is VERY dog friendly, they have a smaller fenced in yard in the back, doggy door in the kitchen to let the dogs outside, dog bowls, dog treats, and a dog bed/kennel in the corner for you furry friend to enjoy. We will definitely be coming back in the summer time enjoy the lake!!

Beautiful Cottage
The cottage is absolutely wonderful. Everything you could need has been provided for with extra touches added. If you are travelling with your dog, this is a great place to book. They cater to our furry family members in such wonderful ways. The setting is so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed the quietness of the area along with all of the surrounding nature. The hobbit stove was a nice touch to our cold winter nights inside. We will definitely be back!

Quiet Winter Getaway
We had a great time at this cabin! Laura was very easy to communicate with and had lots of great information about the cabin, including very helpful room by room descriptions. This updated cabin was very clean, well-stocked and very well cared for. Snacks and a dog toy awaited us at check-in which was a nice touch too! We certainly hope to be back in the future!

Fall getaway
Stargaze cottage was the perfect spot for a full getaway. The cottage is wonderful. All of the small things the owners have there for guests are amazing. We enjoyed seeing the deer and turkeys in the yard a few times. The doggie door and outdoor space was perfect for our Chorkie. It was the perfect location for us to do some exploring in Michigan. Day trips to Mackinaw, Traverse City and an M22 drive were all doable. Thank you for a place to call home for the week!

Home sweet home
If you like nature and comfort you are right where!!! Everything that other people say about this place is TOTALLY true!!! Dear Laura and Danny, unfortunately, this was our last long trip up north (we are getting older) but it was our BEST (we started 27 years ago!). We also have cottage with one hour drive from our residence on the small no wake lake, we will spend our left summers there, but, may be, just may be if we have a chance, we will be back! Had an amazing stay
We wanted just a small weekend get away for our anniversary. This was perfect. The host provided everything we needed and then some. The cottage was clean and welcoming. Very pet friendly, which was a plus because we could bring our fur baby with us. They provided kayaks and many other out side activities. My husband and I could have stayed the entire week there and not regretted anything. I highly recommend this cottage and host. And the shower is what dreams are made of.

Our new family getaway
Stargaze is a combination of spa and a best friend’s house. We are still talking about the luxury of the bathroom and can’t think of one aspect of a lake house vacation that wasn’t readily available. The pantry was stocked and snacks were ready for us on arrival, which was great because we were too excited to explore than shop for food. The local restaurant has delicious food including homemade marble rye! Book soon and often, just don’t take our spot for next year 😉

Best VRBO there is!
This property is much better than advertised! There are three of us in our family and our dog. We all had plenty of space! They even keep a super cute dog crate there that our pup loved as well! We made a camp fire every night and roasted marshmallows, we played yard games, we brought our own fishing boat and fished on the lake every day! Laura and Danny have everything you would need at the cabin as well! Beds were comfy, patio chairs were great, everything was so well thought out and enjoyable! We were truly grateful for our stay!

Wonderful get-a-way
Our family truly enjoyed our stay here. We were very comfortable and were thankful for the central air on the hot summer days. We spent hours in the screened-in porch and loved watching the wildlife.
