The Green Cabin was built in the 1950’s and we have tried to keep it as original as possible. When you walk in the front door the first thing that will jump out are the full wood paneled walls. This is all original Knotty Pine paneling and can be found throughout the entire cabin.
Upon entering the cabin you will see one bedroom, the main living room/TV room and a cabin style galley kitchen. The cabin has a full kitchen with pots, pans, toaster and microwave. The stove is electric and is a newer model. You will also find some essential cooking supplies, cooking spices, oil, sugar, but we do not guarantee these will be there as every group is different and some prefer to clear out the pantry, while other like to add.
The front bedroom has a Queen bed, a bedside table and a dresser. This bedroom also has its own AC/Heater. The rest of the cabin uses the AC in the main room to keep the cabin cool and there is also a standing fan for the back porch/second bedroom room. During the colder months the cabin is heated using the pot belly stove located in the main room. This both adds great ambiance to the cabin and efficiently keeps the cabin warm.
The back porch/second bedroom has a Queen bed and 2 Twin beds. The 2 twin beds are a trundle so you do not lose space in the back porch when you are not sleeping. The bathroom in this cabin is a little small, since it was built in the 1950’s, but it works very well. In addition, the faucet, light and water heater have all recently been upgraded.
This cabin is part of our 4 acre property that can be rented individually or all together.
There is a Ring Doorbell that will be on during your stay and faces right in front of the door on the steps. There is also 1 security camera that faces the road behind the cabin. The other houses on this property also have Ring Doorbells that face in front of their respective doors.
When rented individually please know that the BBQ area between the cabins is a shared space. Also, please respect the neighbors, both other renters and those who live in the area, by not being to noisy after 10 PM.
Lastly, the roads to this cabin are dirt, as are most roads in this area. With check in information I provide detailed directions on how to EASILY drive to the cabin on a packed dirt road with minimal bumps.
