This hotel is a hidden gem. We loved everything about it. The location is quiet- away from the hustle & bustle of the Village, but still close enough to walk or a very short drive to the downtown area. The restaurant was excellent and more reasonably priced than what you usually find downtown. The Food & Beverage manager, Jeff (and his sidekick Webster) was very accommodating and openly shared his excitement for this new property. One thing that is fairly new and not advertised is the fire pit area next to the lake. There are 2 gas pits and one large wood-burning one. Gary, one of the managers, came out and got the wood-burning fire going for us and we enjoyed the evening sitting by the fire and lake. Every staff member we met was pleasant and helpful. We will definitely stay here again, as we've graduated from wanting the "action" of downtown and appreciate a quieter place to settle down at night.

We enjoyed our stay. We did not have the noise issues that other guests have stated. Everything was new and clean. We would have preferred to be able to control the AC unit more - we couldn't figure out how to have the fan continually run like we prefer. While the rooms were green rooms there did not seem to be any recycle bins available and there was no where for our trash that wouldn't fit in the can, we had to call to get housekeeping to come get it.

The Cambria is a great property just a few minutes off Main Street . The staff was incredibly responsive and helpful whenever I asked for assistance with something . Place is clean / feels safe and has a nice breakfast area . We spent 8 days here and just wish they offered daily room service - after all it is a vacation resort town and making your own bed and constantly remembering to ask for towels and garbage clean up was a little bit of a hassle . Parking was tough some nights - might have to go to a pass system . And an outdoor pool here would crush all other properties nearby :)) see you soon

Nice new hotel just steps away from Lake Placid.
This is a fairly new hotel. I do believe it’s been open less than a year. It was really nice. The room was pretty clean, except for around the shower area. The corners and edges needed some cleaning. The bed had mattress topper, so it felt soft to begin with, but then felt much harder as you sunk in. I didn’t care for the towel and trash situation. You had to tell them every time you needed a towel or your trash emptied. I was there for a week and would have preferred a pre scheduled cleaning.

The bathroom sink leaked to the point where your feet would be wet after using it. We brought it to the attention of the hotel and they sent someone up the next day and they did not fix it. When we called for extra towels because the floor was flooded they never delivered them.

Great spot to get a mountain view and some R and R! Did not have a full kitchenette, so would not be great for a family trying not to eat out every night. however it worked fine for 2 adults who were fine with turkey sandwiches and pb&j, and 1 or 2 meals out.
