Weekend stay
We stayed for a wedding for a friend’s son a few blocks away, great location and walkable to lake. The house is much bigger than I anticipated - there only ended up being three of us. This would be a fantastic place for a longer stay with a larger group, terrific kitchen setup and fun game/kids room upstairs. We didn’t spend much time in the house but it was all great and a well taken care of property. Thanks!

Best Oktoberfest Birthday!
Awesome place with everything right there to make a memorable birthday celebration for our girlfriend! Lots of room for 8 guests…loved the outdoor deck, was perfect for seating everyone for our celebration dinner. Perfect weather, for the weekend. We will definitely be coming back for a winter stay! Our host Starr Shine is an excellent communicator and gets right back with any questions. A hidden gem in Tahoe Pines!!

Tahoe Pines
Had a great stay. Centrally located it was nice to be able to head to Tahoe City or Homewood in a few minutes. Short walk across the hwy to the beach. House is equipped with everything we needed and the property manager was quick to respond and help when I couldn’t find my entry email instructions. Neighborhood was very nice! There are bears roaming, as one got into a neighbor’s unlocked car, but we had no issues and the house has great bear protection.

Beautiful Place-
Very nice location close to the lake. The house is large and well-appointed. It would be perfect for a large family. Nice kitchen and living areas. Separate area for kids upstairs. Friendly neighbors. The internet and streaming was a little spotty. Cell service was too.

10/10 stay - especially LOCATION!
My husband, dog, and I came for our 'babymoon'. Location is unbeatable especially with the private pier and beach access only a 5 minute/30 second drive away. There is parking if you are lugging chairs and an umbrella. Starr was a great communicator. Will definitely be back.

Great spot to kick it, and get together with friends and family
Our family made the trip up to Tahoe and wanted to stay in a nice cabin at a fair price. When we came across Starr’s property, we thought, “oh this looks really nice.” So we booked it and when we arrived we were absolutely pleased with how nice the house was, and how convenient the area is. A short drive from Tahoe City, and a 5 minute walk to the water, it made such a lovely place to get away from the city to.

A big thank you to Star, the owner, for being so helpful to us. A last minute "situation" (literally, last minute) almost derailed the stay, and Star could not have been more helpful and accomodating....she truly cared that our stay was a great one. Mission accomplished. The residence is a super layout...Tahoe Pines is the perfect neighborhood for bikes, and access to Tahoe City and Homewood, without being in the middle of either of them. Perfect for walks, access to the lake (there is a pier)...biking (which we could do, even in late April), and "bear" watching (which we were treated to one morning in the driveway! In any event, thanks again...a great respite, and we'll be back!

Great place!
Location was great with very easy access to homewood and Tahoe City. The home was very spacious with plenty of room for our group of 4 adults and 4 kids. We appreciated the open floor plan in the living spaces which allowed us to spread out but still be together. Bedrooms were plenty big with lots of storage space. The kids room with bunk beds and futons was much bigger than we expected - in addition to all the beds it also had a large dining/game table, but still had more than enough space for the crew! The owner/property manager was helpful and responsive. Overall a great stay and we’d happily return!

Fantastic House
This house was great, even better than I expected. I would have appreciated a more clear and specific heads up about the electric fence that would be on the front door since we arrived late at night and I had never seen one of those before. (Though I know now they are typical in that neighborhood.) So if you're booking this house, just read about the electric fence before you show up. But this house was awesome, would most definitely love to stay here again :)
