Enjoy the sunrise over the lake while you sip your morning coffee at our Little Lake House! Situated on the shores of Spring Lake, a nature-lover's paradise, our home is a peaceful retreat for you and your family. We've poured our hearts into renovating this home in a modern coastal style with luxurious finishes. This 1000 square foot cabin features a spa-like modern bathroom, a large King sized bed in the primary bedroom, a single-over-double bunk bed in the secondary bedroom, a full kitchen with all the basics you need to whip up an amazing meal, a comfy sectional and desk nook in the living room, and numerous other details that we hope you'll love. The open concept living room and kitchen looks out onto the expansive backyard and the picturesque lake. Hike, bike or kayak during the day, roast hot dogs at our lakeview firepit for supper, and then enjoy our free WiFi and board games at night. Our cabin is only a 10 minute drive to the town of Stony Plain where you can find grocery stores quaint local shops and restaurants, and it's only 35 minutes to West Edmonton Mall if you want a taste of the city life.

Please note:
- we allow ONE dog (NO cats) under 50 lbs per stay for an extra nightly fee - please disclose this upon booking so that we can have our pet amenities ready for you & cover our extra cleaning costs; a signed pet waiver will be required before your stay
- maximum 5 registered guests are allowed on the property at any time. We do not allow unregistered guests or parties of any kind.
- there is a 12km/hr speed limit on the lake and the shore has to remain natural (it has reeds & mud) to protect our wildlife
- we have a floating dock. Please be careful walking on it as it has some movement!
- YES, you can swim in Spring Lake in the summer months, and we recommend taking a floatie out to the deeper parts of the lake and always rinsing off afterwards
- we have an XL men's, L & M women's and Youth life jackets you can borrow, but please bring your own if you want to go in the water and require different sizes
- the back yard is expansive, but note that it is NOT fenced at this time
- please ensure you are monitoring pets and children at all times lakeside
- we have a security camera at the front of the property

Close getaway in nature

Paradise in Alberta
We had an incredible week here at the Little Lake House. The pictures you see online are exactly what you walk into. The weather was perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the deck each morning looking at the lake. Having Kayaks was great. The only thing I would say is I wish the lawn had been freshly cut, the mosquitos were so bad, we would walk through the grass and stir them up and get eaten alive. But it was still an amazing stay. Sean and Christina went over and above to welcome us, they even checked in to make sure everything was good, we will definitely tell our friends about this little hidden gem, and we will be back. Thank you for everything. First time in a long time we just relaxed.

Amazing picture windows views
I stayed from June 16th to June 28th by myself to visit family living close by. I took my grandson for long walks almost every day. Very safe and peaceful area. Many walking trails and constant birdsong. Absolutely loved the house, clean, classy, cozy and relaxing :-)

From start to finish, this was an amazing rental experience. The property is clean, well furnished, and has everything we were looking for. The attention to detail from the hosts is notable, as they even provided for our dog (a cozy dog bed, poop bags, dog towels, treats)! Enjoyed another wonderful weekend at The Little Lake House. It is a beautiful lake cottage with all you need for a peaceful and relaxing weekend. All the little details have been taken care of so that you can enjoy the spectacular views and relax in the comfortable cottage. My girlfriends enjoyed being first time guests and were so impressed with the overall feel and ambiance of the cottage. We were excited to see a moose in the neighborhood as well. The fall foliage was amazing and the lake views were stunning. Thanks again to Sean and Christina for a wonderful weekend.

A Perfect Getaway
We loved every minute at the Little Lake house. We had everything we needed to make our stay easy and enjoyable. Paddlling on the lake was enjoyed by all, and we were only a short drive from many other activities for the kids. Perfect getaway spot
We were looking for a getaway spot not to far from the city but water front. We found this little gem and it exceeded our expectations. The only part that was a bit disappointing was the weeds along the shoreline. We were thankful that the owners put out their dock just in time for our visit. We spent many hours on the dock watching wildlife and soaking up the sun. Definitely a recommended vacation rental.

Little gem on the water!
A paddlers paradise! We paddled on our SUP boards during the day and our canoe in the evenings. The water is so clear once you get about 10 m from the shore. We saw all kinds of birds: ducks, geese, pelcans, cranes, even a hawk. The cottage was cozy and the couch comfy for family movie night. We had a wonderful time, would highly recommend for couples or small families. You will need to bring your own BBQ (not a problem for us, we are also tent campers).

This was our second stay at the Lakehouse & every time I stay, I want to book my NEXT stay! Wonderful layout, gorgeous design, expansive backyard. Everything in the Lakehouse, the design, furniture etc is hand-selected to create a comfortable ambiance. We were able to enjoy an outdoor fire right by the lake, sit on the deck in the morning to the morning views and relax in front of the indoor fireplace late at night. If you love nature and the comforts of home amplified, this is the place to say. I will be back.

Little Lake House is Awesome
I have to start with Christina (property owner) who was fabulous to deal with! My wife and I cannot say enough great things about our stay at the Little Lake House. Our daughter and her family visited one evening and we had hot dogs and S’mores at the fire pit down by the lake. Our grandkids loved it and want to come back to stay with us. Don’t hesitate to stay here! Everything was perfect in this Little Lake House at Spring Lake.

Very easy and stress free booking through VRBO and the host. Great communication throughout and information provided was thorough and concise. We stayed three nights at this “gem” and would definitely go back. The location, the property, the decor, the cleanliness and the availability of all necessities were exceptional. It was a great getaway for two retirees who definitely needed a change of scenery. The hosts, Sean and Christina certainly made us feel welcome.
