The staff was extremely friendly!!! The pool was great, but the hot tub was slightly dirty…we went in at the very end of the day, so that probably didn’t help. Overall, it was a good value for the money!

I stayed at this property while on a group motorcycle ride with friends, the hotel allowed us to park under the awning right in front of the hotel. The dining and bar in the hotel allowed us to eat and drink without having to get back on the motorcycle. The only issue was the breakfast was not good.

I’ve driven by this place many time but never had a reason to stay in glad I was able to stay and see what it was all about! But it was a nice stay the bed was comfortable the room was clean. It was just an over all good experience and will be staying again when need be!

The looks of the property is very sketchy. Like old motel. Doors on outside. I was really debating on staying there. Doors left open for who knows why. Went inside to check in. The pics of the inside are also deceiving. Needs work on inside to look like pictures on line. Now, we check in, go to the room. It was actually on the inside of the hotel. Room was not updated like they said. Went to eat at the restaurant/bar…..AMAZING!!! Service was great! Food was great!! Went back to room, no air. They moved us. Room was much more updated. Nice and cool, very comfy!! All in all it was good.

The place had a heavy musty smell. The tables in the breakfast rooms were dirty, rust stained, garage folding tables. One of the people behind the front desk was obviously drunk, with a drink in her hand, and swearing in front of my children. The door to my room was rusted and dirty. I could go on.

Lots of renovations have happened and are still going on. Quiet hotel. Breakfast included and we ate off of real plates and with silverware. Thick, fluffy, soft bath towels. You can get a cheaper rate booking direct with the hotel!! Historic hotel. They’ve kept some of the charm in their renovations.

I was in Lamar for work and decided to try the Historic Cow Palace Inn based on their positive reviews. I had meetings prior to being able to check in and everyone I met with said the rooms are great and that the Tavern is the best restaurant in town. The lady that checked me in was very friendly and helpful. The staff at the Tavern (especially Johnny) were so kind. I had the steak sandwich, loaded masked potatoes, creme brulee, and sangria - I highly recommend all! Long story short, this was a great first time in Lamar thanks to the Historic Cow Palace Inn and this will be where I stay for future work visits!
