Overnight at the Palace Inn
Check in was easy with a friendly clerk to meet us. The hotel is going through some renovations and both lobby restrooms were basically out of service. Breakfast was OK. Sausage and eggs biscuits and normal coffee and juice. Eggs were completely unseasoned and something resembling bread pudding was pretty much inedible. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Room was average bed comfortable.

Swing and a big miss. We slept inside, 1st floor, restaurant side. Room smelled musty with strong mildew smell. Showers looked newly redone but light fixtures still under construction and we couldn't get past the smell. We could hear music playing and people talking loudly. Restaurant and bars were very popular as people from surrounding areas came. TV not set-up, ice machine near bathrooms broken, complimentary shampoo bottle reused as it was 1/2 gone. They advertise as dog friendly but there are no area for dogs. We had to walk over to Cobblestone Inn to use their pet section.

Great service, clean rooms. The restaurant was very good. We had maple bourbon bison ribs. They were removed from the menu days ago, but they still had some and went ahead and made them up for us. Impressive. Nice pool, nice atmosphere, and the hot tub was wonderful.

Disappointing Stay
Not a great experience. I chose Cow Palace because I wanted a unique place to stay and had read great things about the steakhouse. It was closed Sunday night when I was there so I didn’t get to try it. The room was below average- the phone didn’t work and the shower curtain rod kept falling down. There was an office chair against a wall but no work area for my computer other than the counter where the tv, microwave, and coffee maker sat, and it was too high to comfortably work. Also couldn’t get the WiFi to work. I had to hunt down someone at the front desk three times to get service. All in all extremely disappointing. Would not recommend it.

Older motel attached to a restaurant. The entire property appears to be in the process of remodeling and is quite a ways from being complete. No elevator for second floor rooms. Restaurant was good and motel was OK. Clean with a nice bed.

One of the most comfortable rooms and beds I've slept in. The staff was super friendly and customer service forward. The atmosphere was welcoming and calming after a long drive from Ogden, UT. I was surprised the menu at the hotel restaurant was locally sourced and seasonal, which is a huge perk and keeps things interesting. I look forward to visiting the Historic Cow Palace again.

We booked the hotel because they had a restaraunt. They do have a restaraunt, however not open on Monday's. First room we were given had no water pressure in the bathroom sink. Our friends room door didn't fit properly. The free breakfast was terrible, worst breakfast ever at a hotel. Limited selection, muffins were stale, no bread!
