The parking garage was so inconvenient for transporting luggage into building. The shower in the bathroom was impossible to adjust proper water temperature. It would change from ice cold to scalding hot during the shower. Housekeeping left us 1 washcloth for 3 adults. The room had no drawers or any kind of shelf or storage for clothing other than a slim closet for clothes on hangers.

The location of the hotel was very convenient and close to downtown shopping. At the time of our arrival, the front of the hotel had construction, and we were not able to access the parking garage next door to the hotel which was an unfortunate inconvenience. Other than that, our stay was very comfortable, and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Nice welcome upon arrival. The employees are professional and caring. Quality accommodations are located in a trending area. There is a Farmers Market, one of the oldest, located across the street. Check the dates/ times that it is open. Museums, shopping, and Franklin and Marshall are within an easy distance. Parking at this central city location is easy; the parking garage is a city facility. Note: Check-in and then drive to the garage. The Marriott and baggage carts are accessible on the second floor of the garage. We enjoyed the hotel's quiet atmosphere located in the heart of Lancaster.

This was the first time ever being in the "city" of Lancaster, so it is very different than the Amish/Farmland I am use to, but it was a very nice stay. There is off site parking, but the parking garage is very easy to get to, but you are charged a daily rate for parking there. Also, note that there are a lot of ONE WAY streets there.....soooooo just keep that in mind while you are in the area. I would not want anyone to go down a one way street by accident.... not saying anyone did that, but, there is that. (haha). Go, Enjoy! It is a perfect spot close to a lot of things!

Marriott hotel in Penn Square occupies an old department store (lobby, reception, restaurants) and has two tall towers. Room was on a 6th floor corner with huge panoramic windows on two sides. Bathroom had a great shower and was ample.I’ll mention two inexcusable faults. I’m very detail oriented. For the price, the bottom sheet and mattress protector were not big enough for the bed. The three receptacles for shampoo, conditioner and soap in the shower I was hardly able to reach them and instead of being placed in a logical place they were on the same wall as the shower head. Go figure: I couldn’t reach the soap bottle and I am getting rained on my head. Why don’t hotel managers think before they remodel bathrooms!!!!!

The check-in process was very inconvenient. We arrived around 4:10pm and was told rudely our room wasn’t ready and they would let us know. No one wants to hear that after a long drive. They ended up texting us an hour later. The room was clean, however the bed was extremely uncomfortable. It was hard/firm and creaked at any movement. There would be random times in the middle night where we would hear a loud metal clanking noise that would wake us up out of our sleep. Overall we felt un-rested here during our stay and probably won’t stay here again next time we visit Lancaster.

-room was clean, great location! -bathroom has a sliding door, NO lock, NO exhaust fan -very thin walls between rooms, we can hear the people next door -staff were grumpy, no smiles at all!
