Low cost, you get what you pay for
Area seemed to be in a sketchy part of town at night. The toilet was loose to the floor. No hot water the first shower I took. The other showers I took had hot water but low water pressure. The cable TV service went out the last night and only had static on the TV. Called the front desk about it and they said they can't do anything until the service guy comes the next day.

The bed sunk in the middle, the carpet looks as though it hasn’t been cleaned in decades! The ceiling in the bathroom busted open with water pouring down at 4 in the morning and no one would pick up the phone at the front desk. We had to call the hotel phone number to get an answer! They put us in another room that had blood stains on the mattress through to the boxspring! So we had to go back and ask for another room! Finally our last night in Vegas we were in a dirty room with atleast no flooding! Thank God it was only a two night stay! I slept fully clothed and will never as long as I live patron the Mardi Gras! BEWARE!

Pros: Conveniently located for walking to the convention center, and relatively affordable. Cons: Not located close to much else, such as restaurants big coffee. Also, maintenance is a little lax and the place is somewhat rundown (broken shower curtain, no soap in shower dispensers, etc). And the WiFi wasn’t working for the the two days I was there. It’s basic, but worked for me because I’m not very fussy….

Recently stayed three nights and it was a great stay. Pros: Staff were all super nice, check-in took less than a minute, room was very clean, and restaurant/bar was a great option for grabbing happy hour drinks or a casual dinner. Also, shout-out for the room's heating and A/C - worked great. This place is solid "no frills" value for the price. Cons: The walls are thin so you definitely hear some noise. I was lucky to have considerate neighbors. I turned on the room's fan and queued up some background noise on my phone - I fell asleep right away and I didn't hear anything from a neighboring room or outside.

Garbage under both beds. Room had an odor and even spraying Lysol did not help. Bathroom sink drained really slow. Took forever to get hot water for shower. NO coffee maker. No microwave. If you want to just sleep, it is a good place. Restaurant / Bar was ok. Smoky.

I've stayed at the Mardi Gras several times and it has become my go-to Vegas stopover. Unlike corporate entities, the owners are on site, ensuring this is a quality operation. From the moment you walk into the registration desk, all the employees treat you with a service-oriented approach. The property is constantly being refurbished or cleaned. Rooms have plenty of space with a mini frig and a bed a bit separate from tv viewing area. Enjoy the large counter area in what appears to be a former kitchen. The biggest selling point for me is outdoor hot tub that is open year round. Few places have this amenity.
