It is a nice place . My tub was full of water it took all night to drain before i could shower. The lock on the door was janky it looked like someone jimmied the lock. I felt unsafe and it was on the second floor. The wood on the walkway is rotting and i thought i would fall threw.

Our room’s inside door handle was loose. Our room was still safe as we tried to open door from outside & it was secure. I called front desk & within 10 minutes an employee fixed the knob. Thanks.

The front desk needs training on disclosing information to people who are not checked in as a guest. They gave my hotel key to a person who was not checked in with me and I had to vacate my room immediately. Please train the employees in safety and security measures.

Quite good value for money. None of the hokey resort fees found in Las Vegas. Sure, the (non-smoking!!) rooms are like a motel, but ours was comfortable and provided the respite we needed. Some noise from neighboring rooms may be heard, but it wasn't a problem for us. Dining options on the property were fine and if you want something else, there are plenty of other eateries at the next door casinos and across the street. The New Pioneer has a nice beach on the Colorado River although November is probably not the month to be enjoying it. Between the excellent price, cheap gas just across the river, and laid back atmosphere, I have no problems recommending The New Pioneer.

turnaround trip to look at property
checked in early with no problem gentlemen who helped me was great. room had comfortable king bed hot water was instant which was great. lunch at Bumble Berry's was great and grabbed a delicious pizza at River Ricks Pizza.

My recent check-in experience at the Pioneer Casino in Laughlin was one of the most frustrating and unpleasant encounters I’ve ever had at a hotel. The front desk staff, particularly the woman assisting me, was incredibly rude, unhelpful, and dismissive throughout the entire process. Despite having a reservation, they claimed they couldn’t find it in their system and made no effort to resolve the issue promptly. Instead, they called Hotels.com and insisted I wait until the reservation was updated in their system. Rather than taking ownership of the situation, they acted as though I had done something wrong. Their attitude made an already stressful situation much worse. After finally resolving the issue, I was told I had to get back in line, adding insult to injury. The lack of empathy, basic customer service, and professionalism was appalling. It felt like I was more of an inconvenience than a guest. This experience set a sour tone for my stay, and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone based on how poorly they treat their customers. It’s clear there’s a need for training in customer service and problem resolution. Very disappointing.
