This was a great hotel with a bus just outside to take you to the station. Lausanne is full of hills, so having a transport card is wonderful. The staff were wonderful, some of the best I have come across and were very helpful with a few things I needed. Nothing was too much trouble, and I noticed they were the same with all the guests.

If you are comparing Ibis hotel from most Asian countries, you need to lower your expectation for this Ibis hotel then. Staffs not so friendly. Room is small. No in-room safe, no water boiler, no sleepers. Basically nothing much in the room. We didn't really feel safe when we walked near the hotel for dinner even it was only about 6pm. Not recommended.

Brilliant hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff who allowed me to check in early and provided me with a charger to charge my phone as I did not have the correct adaptor. On each occasion staff were friendly and always wanted to help. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if in Lausanne for these reasons, but also as the hotel room was newly renovated, was comfortable and had everything we needed including UK TV channel, a spacious shower and comfortable bed. Just one thing would be that bottled water could have been provided in the room which would have been even better.

Great location! Within walking distance to almost everything. When you arrive, please take a taxi from the train station to the hotel. I think you can take the bus the number 4(double check). The rooms are small and you don't get any toiletries except liquid soap, so bring your own toothpaste, lotion, shampoo or be ready to buy some at the pharmacy outside.The staff is good and very helpful. The bar is open 24 hours and the hotel is full of people from different countries. Don't panic when they ask you to pay for the entire stay when you arrive, it was different but checking out is faster. The location is absolutely perfect!
