The city has remarkable canals and narrow streets, cozy shops and interesting museums. If you look at a map of 1603 you can still recognize almost every street, square, canal and building. In the 20th century, several canals were filled in and turned into streets. Fortunately, the character of the streets around these old canals has been preserved. Breakfast is NOT served, but the room does have a kettle, coffee maker, small fridge and 2 plates with cutlery. You can also use the Wi-Fi internet connection in the rooms. As mentioned, Taniaburg offers you a great alternative to normal hotel accommodation. It is only 20 minutes on foot to the old center of Leeuwarden and 10 minutes by bike. 5 minutes walk use the bus to go into town or take the car. We offer free parking at Taniaburg.
